Alicia Marsh was a very gracious hostess and made our visit very special. She gave us a tour of room 311 that we will not ever forget. We loved the ghost. Alicia was nice and considerate of our needs. Be sure to say hello to her when you stay at the hotel. The hotel is beautiful!

We decided to book a one night stay for my daughter's birthday and tour Chattanooga. The Read House associates were more than accommodating with the love they showed my sweet little girl. We were greeted swiftly and professionally by the valet. They opened the door for my wife and child. As we entered, the hotel was very clean and well... More

Located right in the middle of everything. You can walk or catch the electric bus and do a lot. Room was okay but cramped with King Sized bed. Boys next door had double beds and more space. Signage missing on 4th floor manor side made finding the room a challenge the first time. Had to move bed to hook in... More

I booked 3 rooms through Trip Advisor. Rooms and beds were comfortable and clean. It took approximately 35 minutes to check in on a Friday at 4:30pm which I thought was excessive. One king room was booked for a 1 night. This reservation involved a couple with an infant. When the party arrived they were put into a room with... More

We stayed here for one night, but didn't spend much time in the hotel to appreciate the charms. The front desk staff was very nice, but there were only two people working and we ended up with a wait to check in as people asked to change rooms (but couldn't because the hotel was full) or couldn't find their rooms.... Stayed at the Read House Hotel last night and had a really nice time. We tried to check in around noon but they were at full capacity so couldn't check us in till later (2:20). Was happy to get in then. Our room was great (1003) and had a sitting room with it's own TV, our room and the bathroom... More

Love the history here and updates are continously going on. Be prepared to pay the valet, but you can walk anywhere downtown. The room slept nice and you get the downtown sounds. Sirens, motorcycles, horn honking. The pool was very nice and the decor is amazing. On the pricy dose, but anywhere downtown will be. Staff is awesome and really... More

While I got what I paid for at this hotel, it's decor and feel is stuck somewhere in a 1990 time warp and would appear to be in need of a fairly major overhaul. My room which was upgraded on check in, was enormous with more space than needed, but also having tired decor and way too much wasted space... More

Only one night, but it was just what we were looking for. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived (5 minutes after check-in time) so we were upgraded to a suite. The bed was comfortable (though the sheets kept coming loose), bathroom spacious. One complaint, the TV in our suite was turned so that we couldn't watch in bed. But... More

From the moment we arrived to the time we left (2 days) we felt like royalty. The hotel is beautiful inside. The staff attentive and courteous. Valet parking is the way to go. $15 dollars a night and well worth it. Many restaurants within walking distance as well as the Aquarium. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great... More
