Enjoy your stay in Chattanooga!
The mansion speaks for itself with beautiful detail. The beds are comfy .Its the service and warm friendly staff of Becky and Sabrina that makes this stay welcoming! This was the best experience my wife and I have ever had lodging . We played scrabble in the parlor, enjoyed lunch in the garden, played guitar on the front porch and the rooms, well...so romantic. Just go ahead and book it! Oh the breakfast I miss as well so good!We even took the bikes to the store. Cant wait to go back.
Took my wife for our anniversary. It was our first time at a bed and breakfast. Overall, it was really nice. The mansion is in a good part of town next to campus and we were able to come and go as we pleased. Had a couple of issues during our stay but the manager on duty was respectful to us and we were taken care of within 24 hours of the issue being reported. Definitely worth a consideration if you are looking to stay in historic Chattanooga away from all the tourism spots.
The Inn was indeed lovely, but attention to detail in service was much to be desired. We stayed 2 nights. On arrival, our room had not yet been cleaned. It was after the 3 pm check-in time. So we waited for a half hour on the porch so our room could be cleaned. The room itself was clean, but the pillow shams & spread smelled of dirty sweat and were yellowed from use. The staff had trouble communicating with each other on what needed to be taken care of and whose job it actually was. The breakfast of the first morning was good, but the second morning, breakfast was a duplicate of the first morning. We ate at Cracker Barrel. They were supposed to serve an evening snack on the second floor ( a note was left on the side board of this service), but the snack never arrived. The second day our room was "made-up" while we were out for the day, and so when we got back to our room that evening, I had to ask for clean towels as the room attendant took the dirty ones and never replaced with clean ones. I could go on with more detail, but the bottom line is, if the staff can't take proper care in their jobs, there are many other fine Inns to visit. We won't be back.…
We loved the historic building and the room was spacious. We reserved the Laurel Falls honeymoon suite. It had a giant bathroom with a giant tub. The bed was a little soft. The vanity lights did not work and the water pressure on the shower was really weak. The lobby was lovely and the building has a lot of charm. The staff was very friendly and great. The breakfast was ok. We stayed Friday night till Sunday and the breakfast on Sat and Sun was the exact same thing. They did offer to cook up something but we did not want to trouble them. As one reviewer wrote, it was a little disjointed. We did get a great rate as they matched a competitor's site.
Love the old building! The rest was just OK. - Room shower had mold growing around the edge. - With Breakfast in your title we were really disappointed with the quality of food for breakfast. Super hard (dry) eggs. Fruit and yogurt tasted like they had been prepared the night before. People working there were super nice. If you are hard up for a place to stay near college campus, it’s sufficient. It’s glory days are behind it but you can tell the ownership is trying to squeeze as much cash out without putting in any cash to clean up or improve (chipping paint, stained carpet, etc).
