This was our first trip to a B&B, We weren't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised We booked one of the Honeymoon suites for our Birthday's/Anniversary getaway, We arrived just before check in time and were signed in and shown to our room, we were also given a tour and .told if we needed anything to let them know and they would be happy to help. We felt right at home, and if we did need anything it was taken care of. Breakfast both mornings was very good. We also booked the Celebration Package which was wonderful also. For our first time at a B&B the bar was set very high! It is also just minutes from downtown Chattanooga in the Fort Wood District We plan to return and to tell our friends and family about our wonderful experience.
the room was nice and the breakfast good, we booked our room on line with a booking site and requested a king bed. when we checked in they didn't have us for a king bed but where accommodating. 3 days later without authorization they billed our credit card for the king bed. we assumed we had already paid for a king bed and would have like the option not to up grade had we known there was an up charge. we called to talk with them but they weren't interested in doing the right thing and refunding us the money they took without authorization. we wont be going back.
I had never stayed at a B&B before because I like my privacy when traveling. This was the most enjoyable overnight stay I have ever had. The house is absolutely beautiful. We sat on the front porch waiting for our friends to arrive. We stayed in Room 21. Huge, comfy king size bed. The tub has jacuzzi jets (but I didn’t use them). Corner room on the 2nd floor offered a lot of privacy and quietness. Homemade cookies restocked throughout the day at the coffee bar on the 2nd floor. Breakfast Saturday morning was delicious. Started with a cup of yogurt with blueberries, then a cinnamon roll that tasted as beautiful as it looked, then 3 egg quiches with hollandaise sauce, and finished with a cup of fresh fruit. Sabrina (manager) has a hospitality heart and was so friendly and engaging. I will definitely return.…
A lovely mansion. The staff are the nicest people. We plan to stay here again when we visit Chattanooga in 2022. The house is in the Fort Wood Historic District. All of the homes on the street date back to 1890's. Breakfast each morning was amazing! The first morning was stuffed french toast, second was crab quiche. Along with juice, coffee, muffin, etc.. It is apparent as soon as you sit down they made a lot of effort to create a wonderful breakfast for you. Our room was beautiful. We stayed two nights and had a great time in Chattanooga. We are looking forward to visiting again!
This beautifully restored mansion provided an amazing cluster of amenities, comfort, and beauty to fully satisfy our desire for a little retreat. The woodwork and other architectural detail is amazing. Our room, The Chickamauga Suite was large, quiet, and well-appointed with a very comfortable 4-poster King bed. The ever-present fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies were a real treat. Each morning featured a multi-course breakfast, complete with freshly-baked pastries that "oozed calming aromas", as well as, the scrumptious taste. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The only "negative" is the mandatory use of stairs to reach the various suites/rooms. But the stairs do offer various "landings" where tired old joints can take a brief rest. Really, the stairs are doable and not that bad. Mayor's Mansion is located in a beautiful area of large, vintage homes and is near the downtown area which has lots of dining and sightseeing choices. A great place for a romantic retreat or overnight rest on a distant journey.…
