Detailed Reviews
The valet was friendly and quick (shout-out to Christopher for his excellent service) and the front desk staff were warm and helpful. The room furnishings were basic and like others we had issues with the platform bed (my spouse hurt his shins on it). The shower floor was dirty and the drain stopper was broken in the sink (we had to take it out to drain and it was filthy). The bed was moderately comfortable, the pillows didn't provide enough support and the sheets didn't fit and pulled up. The Forge restaurant only allowed us to order breakfast to go even through we arrived 35 mins prior to its closing. The food was fine but we received attitude from the server that greeted us and he questioned us accusingly as we were leaving if we had checked out (someone else brought the food and check). I would give this hotel another chance if the price was reasonable but I would look at other options first. I used a free night stay on this and think I may have been placed in a more dated room based on other review pictures I've seen.

Hotel's Favorite
I stayed at The Chattanoogan for two nights while in Chattanooga on business.
The hotel has both valet and self parking. Check in went smoothly and I was given a king bed room on the second floor. s
The room was a decent size, especially compared to many other downtown hotel. The room did receive housekeeping services, which I appreciate since not hotels do nowadays. The Lockwood toiletries were delightful. The bathroom had a shower stall and a large vanity with makeup mirror. A few suggestions for the room would be easily accessible outlets on the nightstand; a more easily accessible switch to turn on/off the nightstand light; and more hangers in the closet (there were only 3).
I ate at the High Rail rooftop restaurant both nights during my stay. There is plenty of bar seating and also tables inside the restaurant in case of inclement weather. The patio seating was comfy and plentiful. Although the menu was not extensive, both meals were well prepared and tasty. I had the hot chicken sandwich one evening and the chicken quesadilla the second night. Both were delicious. The side house salad was also quite good. They have am excellent tap selection of craft beers, including plenty of local choices. Both bartenders were attentive and friendly.
I used the fitness room both mornings. Since I work out every day, the fitness room is very important to me. There were 2 Life Fitness ellipticals which were in perfect working order. I also used the Life Cycle bike which was also in tip top working order. In addition, there was a rowing machine and I think four treadmills. There were also free weights and yoga equipment. There were plenty of towels, sanitizing wipes, and water. The center is open 24/7, which is also important to me.
I would not hesitate to come back to the Chattanoogan for a long weekend visit.

Quick one night stay for work, been ere before a couple times. Very beautiful hotel, room was nice though housekeeping had some issues.
Very dusty, bag of garbage left in cabinet, no body wash in shower, completely empty and towels were just tossed under sink.
However, our server at dinner in the restaurant was very sweet and attentive.
Valet was actually the highlight of the trip, super friendly, knew where to refer to lunch, grabbed bags before we could even ask and just just a positive attitude from both Christopher & Conner. Great job guys.

This was an anniversary/birthday celebration getaway and it was a COMPLETE disappointment. To start off with, upon booking I was given a total cost for the the 3 night stay, which included the breakfast package and the self parking (@ $16 per day). When we arrived and checked in the breakfast package and the self parking was included, but the girl stated that they would happy to charge it to our room (how nice of them) and after speaking to apparently a "manager", they said that they couldn't do anything about it. They also forgot to mention upon booking that they would charge an additional $150 incidental fee. Finally, after checking in (which we had to stand and wait because only 1 of the 3 employees at the front desk was checking people in while the other 2 chit chatted and was joined by a 4 employee at one point, while a line of people waited), we weren't given any information as to where to park, where the elevators were, we weren't asked if we needed any help etc., it was just here are your keys. We got to our room which was a King Room with a Mountain View, ha, what a joke, but we did have a fantastic view of the parking garage. I will say that the room was very clean and the there was a big shower with glass doors. After walking around the whole hotel we were able to find a way to get to the rooftop restaurant and lounge (again we were not given any information about anything at the hotel). The rooftop lounge was nice and the views were great, but the menu was extremely limited and not very appealing so we ended up going to the Stills & Mash bar/restaurant. The bartender was great, very personable, but the menu there was extremely limited as well, but we ended up getting the burger which was really good. The bartender was able to give us some ideas of what to do in Chattanooga (again since the hotel provided no information). The breakfast at the Forge was good and the service was good as well. The hotel must've been hosting a group of young college kids (at least that's what we assumed) and after knowing that we were there for a special occasion, the put us on the floor with were most of them were staying and every night we had to listen to them knocking on doors, talking and being very loud (after 11pm til about 7am time frames were). Also the hotel allows pets, we are pet lovers ourselves, but I draw the line with owners leaving their stressed out dogs in the room and they bark non stop. We did go to the front desk on that, as well as many others on our floor, and they did seem to take care of that. What I don't understand is why they don't have a specific floor for pets, they are scattered throughout the hotel. I did forget to mention that I am a veteran so I was getting somewhat of a discount on the room, so maybe that's why they put us on a floor that was mainly young college kids and tons of pets and a crappy view room, oh and our room was NOT cleaned once while we were there. Housekeeping came at around 8:30/9 and knocked on the door and asked if we needed towels, so we did get fresh towels 2 of the mornings, but they never came back to clean. Other than the bartender and our server for breakfast, the staff sucked, especially the employees working the front desk when we checked in and I do believe one of them was a manager. This was by far the worst experience I've had a Hilton Hotel and truthfully at any hotel that I've stayed in.

We found this hotel to be very clean . Nice location with local shops and eateries within walking distance I only downside we found the hotell was the pricey room and you also had to pay for parking separately you would figure for the price of the hotel room they would at least Include parking fees. The rooms were clean and comfortable memory phone pillows in bed the bathroom is beautiful so what's a rooftop. Security that walks the grounds at night Valley parking the attendants very nice and went out of their way with anything you needed

Disappointing and very expensive. I was on a road trip with two other friends . One of us booked three rooms ( we each had a room ). When we arrived about 8:00pm we were told that all the Hilton Honor Points had to remain with the person who made the reservation , even though we were each paying for our own room . For reasons not yet known my room was twice as expensive as the rooms for the other two travelers. I paid almost $500 for one night ! They tried to explain that the person making the reservations had used Hilton Honors points to lower the rate for two of the rooms . That is not true but in any event this hotel is not worth anywhere near $500 a night!
The valet Parkers were terrific but it would be very helpful for those guests arriving by car if the hotel would put a sign on Broad street noting the location of the hotel but stating entrance is off the side street . My GPS. Kept us going up and down Broad street.
In the morning when we checked out the staff was friendly and allocated the Hilton Honors Points to each of us. They did not understand why the night clerk checking us in would not do it .
Chattanooga has a number of nice hotels . This is not one of them.

Please avoid this hotel. I stayed here for work for 7 nights , and I had a horrible stay. The walls are paper thin and I was placed in a room that had double doors connecting to a separate room, which made the noise problem even worse. On my first night, my neighbors entered my room drunk at 1 am and woke me up because the hotel did not lock the doors between the rooms. The guy that I spoke with at the front desk would not listen to me, even that I told them that there was no way for me to lock the door, as only a physical key could lock it. He blew me off, and I had to have security address the issue. He was unprofessional and rude. I asked to speak with the manager, but she never called me. I asked for my room to be cleaned repeatedly to both the front desk staff and the maids, and they never cleaned my room in a week, not restocked any coffee/soap/lotion/etc. Random workers throughout the hotel would talk to me exasperated speaking about how terrible the working conditions are at the hotel and how all of the workers are unhappy. The parking lot often has long queues, and it sometimes took over twenty minutes to just exit the garage. When I would call the hotel front desk, they assumed zero responsibility and refused to do anything at all to adrress the problems.

A very unpleasant experience! We checked out early. When we arrived in our room, it was warm. The thermostat was set on 62 and after being in the room several hours, the temp was 76. On our way to dinner, we let the front desk know. The lady said she would have someone look at it. A few hours later when we came back, we checked at the front desk with the same lady. She said she had not heard back from maintenance but assumed it was fixed. Another lady chimed in to tell us there is a motion sensor and if there is no movement, the air does not cut on. Our room only got down to 73 during the night. Also, our shower floor was very dirty. When asking the front desk the next morning, she explained they needed to use bleach to clean it but some people are sensitive to bleach. We checked out at 7:30am because of our unpleasant stay. We did not ask but were told at checkout that we would receive points to compensate our stay but those have not yet happened. We stay in many Hilton properties and are usually pleased with their overall service and quality. As a Hilton diamond member, this was probably the worst hotel stay we have had. We come to Chattanooga several times a year and have stayed at various hotels. We will not return to this one.

While the hotel is "nice" and roomy, it is NOT a convenient hotel. You cannot park on your own, except for charges of $15.00 per day in a parking garage that you need to walk a distance too. Or you can valet for $22.00/day. The restaurant is pricey and not worth the charge of $18.00 for a burger. A can of Coke cost $2.00 one day and $3.00 the next, so they don't even know what to charge. If you have allergies to dogs, do not stay here. It IS pet friendly, but beware that if you suffer, this is not the hotel for you. The grounds are "decent" except for people who dumped trash in the bushes and cats enjoying a free lunch. Carpets are stained in the rooms, furniture is less than comfortable, although the beds are "ok". Housekeeping is a joke. They merely replaced the towels, but did not vacuum or clean while they were in. Would I stay here again? Sure, since I am personally not paying the expenses and it is 3 blocks from my Corporate Office. Would I stay here if I had to pay the bill on my own? Nope! FAR too expensive for 4 days.....over $1,000!
