Far superior to most hostels, this new-ish facility is located right by the Choo Choo Hotel in a vibrant area close to downtown. After dark it may be a little sketchy, but we felt secure in and around the facility. The adjacent bar, associated with the hostel, can be noisy, so complain to the hostel staff is you're being disturbed.... More

Thank you for your honest response, we really appreciate a detailed review. We knew going into building a bar and restaurant next door that there could be some noise issues and would like to remind any of our guests or future patrons that we are on call even after our desk shifts, and can always come back to the hostel... We loved everything about the Crash Pad. First off, the staff is amazing - special shout-out to Bethyn for being so cool and helpful!! The architecture of the place is beautiful. It's super clean, modern, and comfortable. The bunk rooms do offer some privacy with curtains for each bed; the shared bathrooms are very clean and, because the hostel isn't... More

This place is fabulous. The building is lovely with all of the wooden features. I stayed in a private room which had its own sink, the bathroom was just outside the room. All very clean, towels included. You also get a light breakfast of eggs and toast which you make yourself. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We ended... More

Wow everyone was so nice and helpful. The place was extremely clean everywhere. The bathrooms were clean and nice. Highly recommend. We stayed in the bunks and it was nice and private in your bunk. The fan does keep some of the noise down from people leaving in and out.

I needed to get away from Nashville for a little bit and this was exactly the escape I needed. Opted for the private queen room and shared bath. Room was secure and quiet. Compared to my place in Nashville, Chattanooga was incredibly quiet. I slept very peacefully. The bed was absurdly comfortable - certainly wasn't expecting that from a hostel.... More

We happened to come upon The Crash Pad by accident. We had already booked a hotel in Chattanooga that listed its location as near downtown, but it was not. We were just driving around and found the south side neighborhood and decided that was where we wanted to be. We drove past The Crash Pad a couple times before stopping.... More

Had a wonderfully relaxing stay at The Crash Pad whilst enjoying a few days hiking in the hills around Chattanooga. Our room was comfortable and clean, as were the shared shower and toilet facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful and we appreciated their knowledgable advice about places to go and see. Can't wait until our next stay!

I was fortunate enough to discover the Crash Pad several years ago during yearly trips to Chattanooga to rock climb. I've been coming here a couple times annually ever since. They expanded to offer larger private rooms, which is a real plus. Super friendly staff, great customer service, and easy on the bank account. I can't say enough great things... More

Stayed there for the marathon. Was a great facility, good location and awesome people. Clean and top notch. Had a bottom bunk on the second floor. All different ages and interests were there. I traveled solo and it was a great way to meet people but you could also have privacy if wanted. Would definitely stay again.

I checked in for a couple of days, and stayed for eight. Next time I'll stay much longer for sure! The Crash Pad is simply superb. The bunks are great, with curtains, individual lights, shelf and power; the building is beautiful, seriously environmentally aware; the organic breakfast is superb, but above all, it is the staff that make or break...
