My husband and I stayed at the Iron Mountain Inn while on an extended weekend trip. We enjoyed the company of Innkeeper Vikki she is a brilliant hostess and we feel as though we stayed with family. We hated to leave and are ready to go back. Missed seeing bears we were hoping any way.

My wife & I went here last week for an anniversary trip and just loved it. The breakfasts and conversation with Vikki every morning at 8:30 are superb. Chocolate chip pancakes, bananas foster, a thick slice of ham, eggs, etc., etc. And Vikki is so friendly. Guys, she had just turned 80, and she has the power to connect on... More

I grew up in Butler, Tn and was back in the area for my Mother's funeral. Vikki went out of her way to make my stay easier. It was so good to come back to a home instead of a motel after a long day at the funeral home. Breakfast was provided, but she made sure that we had other... More

This was the first time Emily and myself had visited a bed and breakfast. We were looking for a getaway from our hectic lives and this was the place to do it. The beautiful secluded cabin allows you to enjoy each others company and find yourself. When we first arrived, Vikki greeted us and took us on the tour of... More

We were looking for a nice hotel near Lake Watauga (reputed to be the cleanest lake in the TVA system, and found Miss Vikki and the Iron Mountain B&B. What a delight! Although we were there mid-week and off-season, she had two other couples staying at the same time, and we all had a great time together. Miss Vikki could... More

I had the good fortune of staying at the Iron Mountain Inn Bed and Breakfast while I was hiking the Appalachian Trail. The surroundings are beautiful and the inn itself is equally impressive, both rustic and elegant. The attention to detail in the inn’s design is obvious. The main floor is a warm, flowing space with a stone fireplace, tasteful... More

We love sharing the magic of the mountains with our hiking friends from thru hikers of the AT to section hikers and those staying who just want to "take a hike"! More

Annually, we go to Maui, NYC, Vail, Hawk Lake Lodge in Canada, and Iron Mountain Inn. We mix-in other trips throughout the year but we generally return annually to those 5 locations. So, we think very highly of IMI and our friends that we meet there. Breakfast is served daily and it is not a continental breakfast, but a full,... More

What a great find! This is a beautiful inn and everything about our stay was perfect. The house was beautiful with lots of great personal touches that made it feel very warm. Glad we chose this as our first B&B experience. Thanks to Vicki for being a gracious host.

This was my first stay at a B&B, and I will be back. Ms Vicky is extremely friendly and hospitable. She seen to our every need and the food was delicious. Since I have never been at a B&B I thought it might be awkward, like staying at a strangers house. But Vicky put my husband and I at ease... More

Thanks for the nice comments and glad you enjoyed our peace and quiet. Right now as I write this, the katydids are calling to one another....one of the wonderful night noises in the late summer/early fall! Remember each B&B is unique so when you travel, enjoy the differences of each host as each one provides a special stay in their... More

We stayed in the Chalet, so I am not sure how the B&B is, but the Chalet was scary bad. First, the air conditioner was broken, only half of the windows opened, and of those half of the screens were torn so they could not stay open due to bugs. The beds in the 2 rooms upstairs are fold outs... More

Although I did not know when the reviewer stayed at the Creekside Chalet (his name was not on the list of guests), he posted a review of the Chalet on the Iron Mountain Inn B&B page by mistake. However, since I own both, I will respond to his review of the Creekside Chalet. I'm sorry the a/c didn't work because... More
