My mom, aunt, cousin, and I went to visit family out of state and decided to stay on our way home. The Home is beautiful and Tom and Elaine made the stay perfect! They told us the history of the house and allowed us to explore it all! They treat you like family and make sure you are very comfortable.... More

We loved this historical home and we are definitely going back. The owners are so sweet and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. We stayed overnight in the 1849 room and while sitting on the couch we were watching a video about the home showing our room and showing evidence of it being haunted and for... More

Had a wonderful time the house is amazing. We were given a tour of the house and the grounds. The owners will tell you the history of the home followed by a relaxing time on the back porch with a glass of wine. The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast served by the owners.

My husband and I visited Magnolia Manor and it was absolutely stunning. The furniture was gorgeous and it was like taking a trip back to the civil war. My husband couldn't get time off from work for a long getaway for our 25th anniversary, so we decided that the most special place to spend a romantic weekend would be Magnolia Manor Bed and Breakfast. We had not stayed there before, but we have heard about this B & B for a long time and always meant to go... More

Magnolia Manor in Bolivar, TN has to be the best place I have ever visited. We were welcomed just like family. Tom and Elaine could not have been any kind or sweeter. We stayed in the C.A. Miller suite and it was beautiful. I am a Civil War Re-enactor and I got some wonderful pictures of me in full dress.... More

The place is admittedly "cute" and has a lot of cool history, but there's little more to it than that. The owners sell their "own" wine there by buying $4 bottles at Trader Joe's, then slapping their own ink-jet label on it, and offering it to you at $22. We didn't appreciate that (and the complementary glass was gross). The... More

I stayed in the C.A. Miller Suite. I found the entire place to be simply charming. The hosts, Tom and Elaine were so sweet. As for the decor of the place...it is a step back in time. Everything there is museum quality. If you are into the paranormal, you will find something there. I had things happen that were "firsts"... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Magnolia Manor Bed & Breakfast is a very historic home built by Judge Austin Miller in 1849. It was the home of the Miller family until 1972. Elaine purchased the manor in 1981 and opened the home to the public as a B & B in 1985. Elaine's goal in the restoration is to keep it as close to the era in which it was built as possible while still offering modern convinces and comfort. It's furnished with period antiques from the 1840s to the 1860s. Rather than gutting the house and remodeling it with all new materials, great care is taken in preserving what is original to the home. It is as the Miller family left it. Guests are offered complimentary Hors d'oeuvres and a glass of wine or other beverage of their choice. Breakfast is prepared by Elaine herself. Magnolia Manor Bed & Breakfast has received "One of the South's BEST Bed & Breakfast" praise by Fodors travel guide. It's also been featured on HGTV's ...If Walls Could Talk" and photographed by National Geographic Magazine. Magnolia Manor Bed & Breakfast was also featured on Tennessee Crossroads Television program. ... more   less

“The C.A. Miller Suite had 2 large rooms...very grand. The 1849 room is one room, but is large. Annie's room, is a bit smaller than the 1849 room, though still quite large by today's standards. The one room downstairs is VERY nice...I forget its name. The cottage is quaint, and it does give you total privacy. Annie's room would have less road noise, as well as the cottage, though it is not bad in any of the rooms.”
