Picked pomegranates off the tree in front of our huge garden room, ample parking, quiet little town, 10% discount at the hotel dining patio overlooking a tiny harbor, wonderful folks checking us in. Good food too.
The Greeks already set the bar very high in terms of hospitality, politeness, standards of cleanliness and good cuisine. Here, everything ensures the perfect stay: a warm welcome, impeccably clean rooms with views of the mountains or the small port. However, the main reason to stay here is the fabulous restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Wonderful menu with fish, meat, vegetarian options all cooked with their own olive oil - and desserts too which you don't always find in Greek restaurants (honey cakes, pies etc.) The breakfast is just fabulous - home-cooked cakes, savoury dishes, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice - all with a peaceful view of the port and the mountains of Mani in the background. This family hotel/restaurant really is a hidden gem. We came here two years ago; we made a detour to come again this year and will definitely come back. Thank you Akroyali!…
We stayed in the hotel (five people) for two nights on our journey through Greece for the second time after having loved our stay here two years ago already; and we were not disappointed: The rooms are clean and have everything you want and need, the location is right at the marina with many great restaurants in front (but it's still relatively quiet – only the main street on the other side can get a little lively in the evening/morning), the reception is very warm (every guest gets a fresh orange juice for free – it's a beautiful tradition), there's a nice parking space in a lovely garden area a minute away, a very nice small beach with plenty of parasols and deck chairs (plus a bar) can be reached on foot in two minutes – probably the most important part! – and everyone there seems to be really nice and helpful. And what we actually came back for: The breakfast! It has everything we wanted – fresh orange juice en masse, nice warm dishes and delicious fruits. During the pandemic, you have to wear a mask and a glove, but the experience was definitely above-average nonetheless and I can't think of anything that really bothered me too much during our short stay! VERY fair pricings and the hotel deserves more stars without any doubt. We also visited the restaurant right in front of the hotel which was nearly empty when we arrived and we were positively surprised: The starters were all super tasty and my meal was one of the best I've had here – and that all for little money! I would return at any time... No matter how old or how big the group, this relatively small hotel has the ideal offer. I don't really understand the complaints because I enjoyed every second of our stay (especially because there were no mosquitoes and the Internet was great!); maybe having a big car can be an issue while parking, but even our mini-bus always managed to get by...…
What an indescribable experience...! I was welcome by the warm hearted young lady Nikki, which guides my lady and me to our seaside table. After being seated on a table facing the seaside - and breathing in the salty refreshing breeze, we were greeted by the staff. After having heard they’re recommendations we decided to have some white wine, a Greek salad, some Greek specialities and last but not least - a fantastic seafood platter ! That just little experience, from the door to the minute we departed the restaurants premises- we were smiling and indulging every second of the Greek experience before returning back to the arduous city life. On my next visit hopefully soon, I shall be returning and staying in the hotel as well!
We stayed here for a week early October.. what a find 👍... the hotel might be 2* rating but everything about the hotel is 5*.. Nikki and family are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed b & b but ate in the hotel several nights as it was soo good. There is plenty of choice for breakfast & everywhere is spotless clean. Agios Andreas is a little village with a few restaurants, bars & cafes, a bakery & a couple of supermarkets. If your looking to get away from it all this is the place to unwind and re charge those batteries. Thank you Nikki and family for making our stay very enjoyable... we hope to revisit one day.
Fabulous stay, relaxing and quiet, staff are lovely and friendly, Nikki was so helpful, even down to loaning us chairs and umbrellas for the beach, food is very good, ask for anything other than what is out for breakfast and it will get done for you,we stayed half board which I would recommend, plenty of choice and the Lamb In The Oven with potatoes is divine, rooms are very clean, they are done every day with fresh towels,October is a great month to visit, weather was fab for us,28 degrees every day, this is a must stay place and I would defo recommend if you just want to unwind.
We spent 4 wonderful days at this delightful family run hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. it has a great location facing the small harbour of Agios Andreas, with the restaurant just on the covered terrace next to the harbour. It was a pleasure to have excellent breakfasts and evening meals here, We had half board and there was so much choice on the menu. The food was just lovely and very plentiful. The hotel itself was clean and efficiently run, and nothing was too much trouble. There was secure parking in the hotel grounds and you could enjoy their lovely garden and even sample their fruit there. The beach was adjacent with a bar and sunbeds, but there was still a lot of beach left to explore. All in all possibly the best small hotel we have ever stayed in.…
Amazing value for money. Clean, comfortable and excellent daily room service, with clean sheets and towels alternate days. Free air conditioning and every room has a balcony with either sunrise or sunset views. Staff cannot do enough for you without being intrusive. And that breakfast......lovely variety of goods which changed slightly each day, all to be enjoyed sitting in the most peaceful, sunny terrace watching the catch of the day arrive. Perfect.
Very hospitable, friendly staff. Comfortable, modern hotel. Bed & breakfast very good value, breakfast with outstanding choices every day. I travelled alone and enjoyed 7 days of warm sunshine, eating outside in the hotel dining area which is 20 feet from the marina. Agios Andreas is not a big place, 3 or 4 tavernas looking out over the small marina and a shortish stretch of sandy beach on the south side with a beach bar with loungers and quite good for swimming. The main street (main road) has 2 mini markets, a bakery and not much more - a stretch of about 150 yards with no pavement after that. Probably best to hire a car in order to find other places of interest - a great base for exploring that way as plenty of easy parking next to the hotel and both ends of the marina. Lovely views across the gulf towards Stoupa, it's about 25 minutes driving from Kalamata airport. Best tip - ensure you book a room with a view over the marina, really good. They all have balconies but those facing the mountains simply overlook the main street. …
Spent 11 days here in september, the weather was super all the time. We would like to thank all involved..Nikki,Alex, and all the staff always pleasant and helpful not to much trouble, and the place is spotless, .AS most people say the breakfast is excellent...lots of choice, but ask for something else and the kitchen staff oblige[pancakes] At first we had a room on the front overlooking the road, quite noisy and we asked to upgrade to a quieter sea view ,however, all rooms were full, but after 5 days Alex got us a move onto the front overlooking the harbour.we were delighted .Yes huge comfortable beds, and free safe. loved the peloponese ,laid back tourism,no crowds, empty beaches, and lots and lots of sunshine......sea temp 25 like taking a bath...loved the whole deal.
