Really friendly hotel, comfy bed and superb home cooked food. Certainly a lot of care and attention has gone into every aspect of this hotel. Really enjoyed my stay, much nicer than any chain hotels. Was made to feel very welcome.

Our birding group have just spent a really lovely weekend at the Apple Tree hotel, two nights on bed, breakfast and evening meal basis for 26 people. Simon and his team worked really hard to make our stay very special, thank you to you all. Free wifi, good food and very comfortable surroundings made it a week-end to remember. Situated...

I stayed here for a overnight stop during business trip. Check IN and OUT was excellent. I did not eat in the evening (my choice) but breakfast was very nice, piping hot and cocked to order and quality food. Wifi throughout with no hassle, which is great. Location is a little out of town but could be a good location...

Stayed here for work. It was clean and with a restaurant onsite good for a one night stay. Room was suitable for what I needed and the wi-if was really good and free! so an added bonus. I would stay again.

The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was great and comfy. The food served was fantastic and an early breakfast was much appreciated for my early starts at work. My only negative is the shower was not as powerful as I would like. Great place, great people, great location. I will be recommending it to my colleagues.

Thank you so much for your lovely review we really appreciate your comments. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us at the Apple Tree. We do have one or two rooms where the shower pressure isn't as powerful but are looking into installing pumps to hopefully overcome this.

Simon and Jill were amazing. They were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food and service was outstanding, an utterly fabulous weekend. The hotel is comfy and clean, there is an amazing selection of wines and all served with a smile.

I've recently started visiting the area regularly on business and I'm trying to find a good place to stay. Sadly the Apple Tree is not for me. First things first; the breakfast is great and all the staff are very friendly. My reason for not going back is not due to the noise (the main road is only feet away...

How disappointed we were to read your review of the Apple Tree and would like to address your comments. The hotel offers free hi -speed Wi-Fi throughout, sometimes we find guests devices need to connect with the correct sender to achieve optimum speeds. Parts of the original hotel date back over 350 years and some of the rooms are of...

Owner is very welcoming and proud of his food, and clearly disappointed if you choose to eat elsewhere. 'Garden rooms' are ok but some of the others are poor. Hotel flooded some time ago and still smells damp. Food is acceptable. Note the exit onto A39 is hazardous, especially if you turn right. Overall - OK for a one night...

Thank you for taking the time to review the Apple Tree, we appreciate all comments. We are somewhat puzzled with your reference to a damp smell, we had a small flood in the bar area over 4 years ago and there is absolutely no damp or damp smell anywhere. We are sorry our rooms were not to your liking as...
