Arrival at the hotel was 9 pm, but the staff was very friendly, and the check-in was smooth. All 3 rooms were spotless and of different uniquely designed. Had a great time watching the parade and visiting Sioux Falls. I'm thinking of reserving rooms for next Thanksgiving.
This hotel was a delightful surprise on our trip to the Black Hills. We discovered that Sioux Falls and the Hotel on Phillips are worthy destinations of themselves. The hotel is in a historic bank building and it is beautifully done. The vault leads to a vibrant bar scene. The rooms are well appointed and the beds very comfortable. We stayed in the Copper and Peacock rooms. We will definitely return!
What a wonderful historic building. Super clean, wonderful friendly staff. Right in downtown east walk to all the shops and restaurants that could easily keep you busy for a few days! Nice trail on the river that leads to Sioux Falls falls with a wonderful park. Definitely would stay here again
Awesome historic hotel! Extremely clean and outstanding staff Located close to tons of shops, bars and eating establishments. Close to Falls Park. Parking is a bit lacking, but that would be my only complaint.
Very clean and up to date. The hotel used to be a bank and has only been open for 3 years. Very nice town. Got a good vibe from the surrounding area. The bar off the lobby was the place to be on a Friday night.
First off, they allowed a one night stay on a Friday night while we were traveling thru town. Second…the building is amazing and kept all of it most of the original craftsmanship. The vault is an awesome touch.
We stayed here with some of our wedding guests. Everything was wonderful. The staff were all extremely friendly and they all went above and beyond. Such a far better experience than our guests had that stayed at the big brand hotel just across the river. Do yourself a favor and stay here on your next trip to Sioux Falls and hit them up for your next event. There was some noise from the goings on downtown, but that didn't really bother us. I could see light sleepers having an issue with this though.
The hotel is nothing short of fabulous! Super clean and elegant and the bar area was so cool, friendly and fun. Everything we wanted was right there or within walking distance in beautiful downtown Sioux Falls!
Ok, first off I love Sioux Falls. The downtown is fun, friendly and stuffed to the brim with unique boutiques, a vintage movie theater. toy stores and delicious eateries. Then there is the Phillips to the Falls bike/pedestrian path that takes you the short walk from downtown to the iconic Falls Park with it’s photo op view of the Falls and the best artesian ice cream ever at the Falls Overlook Cafe. As if that wasn’t enough there is the Hotel On Phillips- an elegant and chic hotel with gorgeous one-of-kind rooms and the best staff ever. We stayed on either end of a Badlands trip and we’re so delighted, we booked again for September. The rooms are meticulously clean, spacious and full of thoughtful details like high-end toiletries, chrome access for media and the most comfortable beds ever. Be sure to check out the public rooms including the library on the mezzanine. Can’t wait to return.…
This is a hotel in the historic district that has been completely redone within the last year. Previously a bank at one time with office buildings above it. They have done an outstanding job of the remodel. Beautiful lobby. Helpful shuttle service to take you to the falls or airport etc. the rooms we had overlooked the river and arch. Wonderful linens on the beds, mini windows well darkened when needed. The staff in the lobby was especially helpful, friendly and pleasant . The young lady at the desk (Name started with A) was so helpful also. Just as a treat I spoke with Ree Drummond as she was leaving. I am a very frequent traveler and this is one of the best in town hotels for the money i’ve been in in quite a while.
