We were on the road for 14 days through 13 states, and Hisega was the place that felt most like home. It's tucked away in a quiet, pretty location, nestled in the Black Hills near a meandering stream. The Lodge's common areas include an inviting living room, well-stocked library, two welcoming porches, and the dining area where yummy gourmet breakfasts...

It was nearing dusk when we were getting close to the Lodge. We were filled with anticipation as we drove on the winding canyon road, passing grazing deer nearby, wondering if we made the right decision to stay here. And then, there was the Lodge with lights dancing in the night strung across the front porch. Tara, the Innkeeper and...

I, and many in my family, have had the best experience in this lovely scenic location😀 Creekside amid sheer cliffs in beautiful canyon, yet only a mile or so from highway which is perfect starting point for touring Black Hills. Very convenient! Also cordial staff, delicious breakfasts at which you meet other travelers, and unique rooms with interesting lodge history....

My wife and I celebrated our 31st anniversary with a stay at this beautiful lodge. I didn't really know what to expect, the reviews are mostly awesome and this was to be a surprise for my wife, but as it turned out the choice was perfect. We have been to many B and B's/resorts/lodges all over the U.S. and Canada...

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at this historical lodge. Loved reading the scrapbook in the lodge detailing it's history. Tara and Mike are friendly and laid back hosts. The breakfast team were also very friendly. Breakfast was delicious, room and bathroom very small but clean. Wrap around porch looking over rapid creek was amazing. Very quaint and conveniently...

My husband and I booked #1, the Trout room for one night - his birthday and our 42nd anniversary. So this was supposed to be a really special stay for us. We chose this room because it overlooked the creek & we were so looking forward to snuggling under the covers with the windows open & sleeping to the sounds...

Brenda, I am very sorry you had a bad experience, maybe our Historic Lodge just wasn't a good match for you. Please understand, we can't control the fact that the Black Hills "swarm" that happens every first part of fall of those pesky bugs... I am so glad it doesn't last long. As a new owner of the lodge, we...

We highly recommend the Hisega Lodge for a unique vacation stop in the Black Hills. The pictures on their website are exactly what the lodge and area looks like in person. Beautiful - rustic - quaint. Breakfast was wonderful. They have beer, wine, soft drinks available anytime of the day at low prices. The rooms were very clean and the...

The Hisega Lodge B&B is one of a kind!! Our room was very cozy, the view breathtaking, the food was out of this world (Tara accommodated to my gluten allergy too which was huge!) and the owners were beyond welcoming and make you feel at home! We didn't want to leave! Beer and wine available as well as complimentary sodas....
