I stayed at this hotel for one night during my midwest road trip. I was assigned room 201. My rate including all taxes was $77.83 for the night. Service - Service was great! The female who assisted me during check-in and check-out (Rashel) was very friendly and personable. She was happy to answer any questions I had and she was very helpful! She was also wearing a mask covering her nose and mouth. She was an absolute delight to chat with! Room - Room was good. It was very large and sparking clean. Super comfortable king size bed. Bathroom was old. Shower had a shower curtain. Water temperature never really got higher than lukewarm so that was annoying. Water pressure was fine. Right amount of bathroom counter space for your toiletries. Exhaust fan in bathroom needed to be kept off because it was VERY loud. Great working AC. Microwave. Mini-refrigerator worked great. Fast wi-fi. Conveniently placed electrical outlets. Super comfortable desk chair. Nice whirlpool tub. Hotel Information - Hotel is one of the smaller and older Hampton Inns I have ever stayed in. It has 65 rooms and three floors. Lobby was fine. It was pretty dark. Convenient free parking. Hotel is definitely older. I could hear the guests above me walking around and I could hear the water running when someone in an adjacent room turned on the whirlpool tub. Location - It is located right off the interstate. Not much around except gas stations and a few fast food spots (Taco John's, Subway, McDonald's). It is about seven miles or 11 minutes to downtown Sioux City, Iowa. I can recommend this property and I would consider staying here again if my travels ever bring me back to the area!…
Young man checking us in was very nice. (July 3 rd, evening). Room was very big and the bathroom was huge. Sliding door was great! Breakfast was a cold breakfast because of the CDC guidelines, but had lots of choice! Bed was comfortable as were pillows and linens. Gave a Military discount too! $75 for the night. VERY well worth it!! PS- young lady in the AM was very friendly and nice too!!!
problems with maintenance - nothing that mattered to our stay but for the price you'd think the bathroom sink would not leak onto the floor, there would be a hot breakfast (I know CDC), and the floor trim tile would not be coming off the wall. The charging station console had no power so when working on computer you'd need an extension cord to lead to another outlet. The gears on the window shade (big wide one too) were stripped and the shade was laying over the a.c. blowing out. The counter top in the bathroom was angled too much towards the floor and that's why every time the faucet turns on the water leaks onto the floor. This is room 315. On the upside and all that really matters to we overnighters, the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet so that made for a good night's sleep. A packaged breakfast with muffins and fresh fruit was supplied with coffee&tea&juice. AS ALWAYS I WRITE MY OWN REVIEW THAT IS NOT INFLUENCED BY ANYONE EXCEPT HUSBAND…
Pet friendly is the word here. I felt like there was a dog in the room with me. This motel would have been better for me or someone like my husband that is highly allergic to dogs and cats, if they would reserve a wing or floor for pets. That way you can happily serve both sides of the pet controversy.
Room conditions were poor. The blinds in the room didn't work, so Sunshine wasn't an option. The room also dirty and had a weird smell. This is not a location I would recommend. The hotel is not close to any restaurants.
