Clean & comfortable hotel. Pool & hot tub were visible through windows as we checked in. Our room was spotless & bathtub looked brand new...I even took a relaxing soak! Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, oatmeal & yogurt, nice when options are available for gluten sensitive people. The breakfast area was clean & well maintained with a TV available. We didn’t use the lounge, however cleaver idea for travelers. The only downside was pillows were too hard for me, but usually just travel with my own pillow from home. We will be back!

The Lodge was nice and clean. First time in Lemmon SD. My friend and I each had King rooms and they were so comfortable. We walked to the pizza restaurant and shared a delicious pizza and had twisted ice cream cones for dessert. I would definitely recommend the Dakota Lodge and Lemmon SD.

Excellent place to stay. Looks okay from outside but inside is lovely, extremely clean and staff is warm and friendly. No weird “small town motel” odors. Towels were white, white and fluffy. Bathroom was spotless.

First of all, there aren't too many options to stay in Lemmon. However, I had no complaints about this property. Rooms were dated, but clean. Staff was friendly. We had to leave very early in the morning, so I was not able to take advantage of the breakfast.

Friendly staff and clean room with reasonable prices. Very accommodating for guests that travel with pets. Pool area and water was clean and well kept. They also have a great Continental breakfast.

My wife and I were in town for a American Legion meeting. Our check-in went well. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely furnished. The pool area looked inviting but we did not take advantage of it. We will stay here again. Travel safe...

Great place to stay. Modern. Well maintained. Very clean. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Very good value compared to recent stays at Super 8 and Days Inn. Staff very courteous. Pool and fitness room. We stayed here twice this month in our travels and will definitely stay here again.

I rarely waste my time writing a bad review- I simply don't go back. But I feel it is my responsibility to warn fellow travelers in this instance. My girlfriend and I are here for her family reunion. When we checked into our room we noticed the garbage had not been emptied and some of the towels from the last occupants still hanging to dry. As bad as that may seem we figured we would just deal with it as there was still one empty garbage and more folded towels and someone had professionally made the bed. Like I said we're beyond easy going and our expectations were already set very low. That night we couldn't help but notice the crt tv from circa 1980 (note other rooms do have newer tvs), & how stuffy our room had become. The in wall AC unit was filthy and when it came on it would over heat and shut off before cooling the room. Fyi the window sills were filled with dead bugs. But so far we had yet to complain. After a very poor night's sleep we went to day 1 of the reunion. We were gone 6 hours and when we returned the room was never serviced. They said the room had been marked dnd which I'm guessing means do not disturb despite there never being a do not disturb sign on our door.
So yes. I finally did complain. But too bad. Even though it was only 430pm house keeping had all called it a day. So I had to service our own room including the last people's towels and garbage because the staff on duty refused to do any house keeping themselves. I did get a feeble apology but that was it.
To be fair, there are some people in our group who have newer tvs, working ac units, and who's rooms were propetly serviced but we have a few others sharing our same ridiculous experience. It's bad enough that this has happened but the fact that the staff on hand barely apologized and didn't do anything themselves to remedy the situation is where I draw the line.
Do yourselves a favor and avoid this place like the plague that it is.

We were just getting away for the evening. Didn't even make reservations anywhere. Which made me very nervous. This room and this hotel is amazing. The staff is awesome, helpful and so very friendly. Continental breakfast. Swimming pool and hot tub. A lot more than I was expecting in small town South Dakota. If you are in the area and looking for a place to stay, you will not be disappointed.

I have stayed here a few times thought I would share with others this nice clean hotel in small SD town. Staff here very "customer focused" really want their guests happy. Hunters are both welcome and catered too; breakfast available by 4:30am during hunting season! I would tell all my outdoorsman brothers to stay here if in the area. Thank you
