We were in Indianapolis and were Westward bound, after searching booking and reading reviews, this hotel had the best. We started our jounrey there from cidar rapids, Indianapolis, at 6pm. It was a 10 hour drive, it was raining badly, the road curved alot. But it was worth it. Phyllis, the manager, let us in at 430am, we woke her...

Cute little place, very clean rooms and nice people. There is a common room with pool table and a good size deck to sit on and enjoy the evenings. My only dislike was the noise factor. Walls are thin so you can hear other guests and the window air conditioner units amplify the noise from outside right into your room....

I was on an around the country road rally and needed an inexpensive, clean, comfortable place to rest. The Dakota Spur met my expectations and then some. A neat (as in cool, and tidy) place, and the softest towels throughout my whole trip. Our room had 2 twin beds and some might consider it small but it was just what...

we were going to Deadwood for the 2nd Annual 3 wheeler rally.. After some online searching and reading reviews ,I booked us into the Dakota Spur. This is a historic building and rooms are comfortable (other than the curtains that let light in waaay to early). Phyllis and her sister are charming hostesses, and very knowledgeable of the area, and...

We stayed just one night, but we agreed that it was a good choice for what we needed. The bed was comfy (queen room w/Jacuzzi tub), the room was clean and the A/C felt wonderful! I prefer this type of hotel over the standard "norm". We will definitely go back! Enjoyed meeting and talking w/the staff of hotel - Nancy...

Our room had a queen bed, jacuzzi, and a bathroom. It was sufficient. We didnt use the jacuzzi would have preferred a bigger bathroom and maybe additional storage, there was no dresser or closet, we had to live out of our suitcase. I'm can't say enough about Phyllis and Nancy the were very accommodating, friendly and kind.

We love this little spot, more of a B & B feel. Nothing fancy, rustic, but we prefer that. The owners are super helpful and friendly. We stayed 2 nights in between our drive from Yellowstone to family in Wisconsin. A beautiful 45 minute drive to Rushmore. We would definitely stay here again.

The manager here was great and really knowledgeable about the area. Really friendly and welcoming. Stayed in room #2 right off the entryway, it was small but had really high ceilings. The downstairs area where the continental breakfast was served was nice, had a lot of character. Only downside was the curtains, they were not light blocking so the sun...

Great place to stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We like to stay at places that are not chain hotels. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, soft sheets, and plenty of hot water. Continental breakfast was great. We will definitely stay there again. Look them up if you are near Lead, SD.
