A friend and I were on a road trip back from the Tetons and stayed here on a recommendation from another friend who dines here every time he is in the area. I LOVED it. We stayed in room three. It was fantastic! Now it was the off season when we were there so ridiculously reasonable in price. The room... More

The Alpine Inn was recommended to us by a friend. It's a cute place that provides wonderful service, accommodations, and food. We stayed in room #9. Very comfortable and historic. Loved the shower:) Super clean. My only complaint is that hallway to the room is too dark and there could be better lighting in the room. I would stay here... More

While they don't take reservations, this local hotel and restaurant called our name for a table within 5 minutes of our expected wait time. A very select menu which,on our stay, included a wedge salad with house made ranch dressing,a bacon wrapped tenderloin cooked to perfection, texas toast, and a baked potato. Not a potato wrapped in foil and steamed...no,a real baked potato with... More

Booked a room on a Sat. night in May, thinking it would be a slow quiet time in Hill City. When we got to Alpine Inn at 4:45 pm to check into the room, we could not even get into the building! Crowds were lining the streets waiting to get inside to eat. A local person told us if we... More

We stayed here rooms are very y Unique, definitely not the holiday inn! Like stepping back in time, beautiful. The bed was so comfortable thoughts I could sleep all day. We ate supper here, basically your only choice is dessert. Because steak is the only thing on menu and it is a excellent. Then you have nineteen, big desserts to... More

We were very pleased and satisfied with our 2 night stay at the Alpine Inn in Hill City. We had room #9, which was a bedroom which opens out to a nice sitting room. The bathroom was a nice size with a huge shower. We stayed in the off season so it was very inexpensive but we would probably pay... More

Best beef ever had. Service was just wonderful. First my husband did not want to wait an hour for his dinner but we did and it well worth the wait. Went back the following night, but got there earlier and had another great steak dinner. The hostess and service people were just sweet and great. Give everything about "Alpine Inn"... More

The Alpine Inn and restaurant is an excellent place to eat a good steak! Your evening choice is a small filet mignon or a large filet mignon with toast and a house salad. The day time menu has additional sandwiches, pastas, and desserts. One issue is that the restaurant does not take credit cards, so bring cash or checks to... More
