We visited the Black Hills for the first time in 2013. Having stayed at Quail Crossing once already, it was a "no-brainer" to rebook with George. These cabins are the perfect location to day trip to just about everything you could want to visit in the Black Hills - Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Devils Tower, Spearfish Canyon, Bad Lands,... Great room, looked newly remodeled, beautiful view, private access to Mickelson Trail, pass to trail furnished, George was very helpful to my wife and I. Would definitely stay again. Mickelson Trail was a great experience even for occasional bikers like us. Excellent value.

We were horrified to pull up to these cabins and realize that this was where we had to sleep! As soon as we found another available cabin we left. The cabins were old and cheaply furnished. The idea of a horse on the property was nice, until all that you could smell was horse manure. You are also expected to... More

Our family of 6 (mom, dad & 4 teenage boys) came up from Omaha to get away from the day-to-day for a few days and see the beauty of the Black Hills. These cabins were perfect! Great location with easy access to Mount Rushmore, clean and quiet. It had everything we needed to get away...including a kitchen and wifi! George,... More

My wife and I stayed in one of the motel rooms and they were older but very clean. The owner was accomodating and allowed us use of the washing machines on site and made sure I had enough coffee for the entire stay. Rooms are only cleaned every other day and towels are exhanged daily which gives you privacy without... More

My hubby and I planned a last minute anniversary trip up to the Hills and wanted to stay someplace outside of the Rapid City city limits. Not ever seeing this place in person before, I was not exactly sure what to expect. It was dark when we arrived so we could not see the grounds. When we woke up the... More

I do not review places but I believe the owner of this facility is dangerous and I feel I need to warn people. His temper is out of control, he is unstable and he is unreasonable. He immediatly reacts with anger, hostility, swearing and yelling. He uses his size to intimidate and bully people. I left the facility early and... More

Lovely place with a beautiful backdrop overlooking a babbling brook and the Black Hills. The owner George was gracious and accommodating. Especially after we had to contact him about a rowdy family that was literally jumping off the couches in the room above us at 11pm at night. Aside from that. Lovely place and my family and I enjoyed ourselves... More
