Just found this site, so my date was wrong- we traveled a few years back, not last year. Anyway, George is most definitely the rudest, most vile person I've ever come across in 40 years of travelling the U.S. As a courtesy when I called for reservations I explained my daughter to be blind and had a guide dog. He... More

My two kids and I stayed in a motel room with two queens. It was very clean and accommodating. The view from the deck was worth every penny....AMAZING!!!George is very friendly and more than accommodating. He was very helpful with directions, destination spots and timelines. We very much enjoyed our stay here. Room was very clean and had a table and chairs, microwave, coffee pot, and toaster. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom with shower and tub. There is a gas grill and a table and chairs for outdoor eating. Beautiful view off the deck! The owner was pleasant and if we needed anything, we just... More

We had 9 of us on a week long Black Hills family vacation. We rented 2 of the two bedroom cabins and we fit just fine. There are pull out couches that the kids used and worked out well. We were able to use the bikes, pool, volley ball net, several of the lawn games, we grilled every night and... More

We stayed in a cabin and a 3 bedroom suite with our kids and grandkids for our 45th anniversary. The cabin was a bit run down but very clean. I think folks like the rustic atmosphere that goes with visiting the Black Hills. The 3 bedroom suite was very roomy and had a gorgeous wood 6-7 ft table that the owner... More

Stayed in the motel because it has a long porch with a great view overlooking the Michelson Trail. So cool to sit outside and look at the view after a long day. The rooms are clean, have a coffee maker and refrig, all we need. George is helpful with directions. Second time staying here, would recommend.

Nobody seems to be in disagreement about the location. These cabins are right on one of the main highways through the black hills and about as centrally located as you could get. Reading through the reviews on Trip Advisor before our review most of the reviews seem to revolve around the owner, George. Reflecting the title, it seems to me... More

I read some of the reviews and was a bit worried before we arrived. We just stayed here for 3 nights. It was perfectly located! We packed so many activities in because of this. We paid up front, like I've done for other places. We had a good clean room. We didn't have a chance to use the pool (too... More

This is an affordable and well placed self catering base for exploring the Black Hills of Dakota. The cabins are quite small, although 4 adults and two children managed it for three days without too much difficulty. George, the owner/operator is somewhat reserved but really interesting to chat to. Fellow guests extremely friendly but not intrusive. The pool is spotless... More

We stayed at the cabin for 3 days. We enjoyed staying there because it is a good central location for vacationing in the Black Hills. George was very helpful and accommodating. Our room was clean and quiet. Laundry facilities are available at an extremely reasonable price.
