I read some of the reviews and was a bit worried before we arrived. We just stayed here for 3 nights. It was perfectly located! We packed so many activities in because of this. We paid up front, like I've done for other places. We had a good clean room. We didn't have a chance to use the pool (too... More

This is an affordable and well placed self catering base for exploring the Black Hills of Dakota. The cabins are quite small, although 4 adults and two children managed it for three days without too much difficulty. George, the owner/operator is somewhat reserved but really interesting to chat to. Fellow guests extremely friendly but not intrusive. The pool is spotless... More

We stayed at the cabin for 3 days. We enjoyed staying there because it is a good central location for vacationing in the Black Hills. George was very helpful and accommodating. Our room was clean and quiet. Laundry facilities are available at an extremely reasonable price.

Just left after a 4 day stay with George at Quails Crossing. Great Cabins in a perfect location. 15 minutes from Mount Rushmore and Crazy horse in the other direction. Cabins are very clean and as long as you abide by the simple rules posted by George you won't find a better place for the money.

What a fun little place!! *Please read George's website prior to booking... he has it all laid out for you!!** Take the time prior to leaving home by packing a few necessities such as bathroom hand soap, coffee filters and paper towels and you will be pleased as punch when you arrive. Of course, if you forgot anything, George has... More

This owner is very rude. we are just looking for hotels/motel/cabins etc. When we found this property on tripadvisor, we found that this was non-refundable (for discounted price). But who knows if anything unexpected happens and we need to cancel whole trip (who wants that, though). we were staying there for 4 nights, so the amount was 800+ (Canadian dollars).... More

Stayed here June 12 - June 17 2016 with our family of 4 and our friends family of 5. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here, and made sure we saved plenty of time to just hang out at the resort and enjoy the pool, playground, campfires, and Aces the horse! We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite and... More

I was pleasantly surprised when I unlocked the door. The room had an cabin feel. There was a king size bed, loveseat, table, microwave, dishes, and of course a modern bath. George does require you to clean the dishes and appliances in order to keep his costs down. I had no problem with that I just didn't use the dishes... More

Always love great guest that appreciate the accommodations I work hard to provide. I do charge a small cleanup deposit, so if you do not want to cleanup you can just forfeit it and I will gladly cleanup for you or save that money and do it yourself. Thanks More

If you're looking for a rustic cabin to stay in in the Black Hills, look no further. Quail's Crossing was in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do, just a short car trip from Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and Crazy Horse, and a short walk to downtown Hill City. The horse wandering the premises was friendly... More

Glad they enjoyed the stay. Just as I advertise older - rustic but clean. Aces the horse always enjoys the attention. We do allow campfires & even provide the wood $20 - $30 a night value, something you cannot do at most motels & even a lot of my competitors. We even provide bicycles for the Mickelson Trail!!! Thanks for... More

Upon arrival I wondered what we got ourselves into. There are things scattered all about the grounds. BUT, when we walked into the room, we were pleasantly surprised. It was newly remolded, very clean and nicely laid out. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite on the upper floor with a spectacular view. The location is perfect – just... More

People from Europe, don't know what antiques are I have experience. 99.99 % of my Customers enjoy looking at all the different antiques and funny I never seen them even walking around the grounds and if they would I would have gladly told them what they was looking at. Sorry about the bed, but unfortunately not everyone likes the same... More
