I took my daughter in law and my two grand children to Mount Rushmore and Chief Crazy Horse Memorial for their first time. We stayed at the Mt Rushmore KOA campground. We stayed in our RV. I can't really speak to the motel rooms or the cabins, but they all seemed to be occupied and I didn't hear any negative... More

Back in the late 90's we spent 2 weeks here for our family vacation & had a wonderful time. A lot has changed since then, but it's still a good place to camp. We stopped on our way home from Yellowstone for 4 nights. First, it's centrally located to all attractions in the Black Hills. Mount Rushmore is just down... More

Our family enjoyed this KOA. The cabins were really nice. We stayee in a deluxe cabin. I'm pretty sure it was D402. It fit the 5 of us very comfortably. In the cabin, there was a kitchen, 2 TVs, and a bathroom. We had a bunk bed, a double bed, and a sofa bed. It fit all 5 of us.... More

My family and I stopped here on our way across the country. We have been to many campgrounds and KOAs and this is by far the best one that we have been to. There were so many things for the kids to do they loved it and I never once heard them say they were bored! There are also activities... More

This was the nicest KOA we ever stayed at. We had reserved and paid for 6 days and were excited when we arrived. I had requested a concrete pull through for my 40' class A motorhome and was told my site was paved. Within 3 hours, we got a refund for 5 days and went elsewhere. First, our spot was... More

This place had it all! Where do I begin; 2 swimming pools, restaurants, hot tubs, splash pad, bike rentals, utv rentals, and many more features. We took advantage of the deluxe cabin and it was fantastic. Sleeping for 6, great wood decor, full bathroom, mini kitchen, big deck, very own patio furniture, grill and fire pit. Also featured 2 TVs,... More

Our rig 35ft Class A with 12 ft trailer. Total rig length 51 ft. The positive side of this campground is that there are a lot of activities for kids and there is beautiful scenery. Now the bad! I start by saying we paid $138.17 per night including tax. This was a "premiere" full hook up 50amp site with a... More

Stayed at Palmer Gulch many times. Booked family reunions and personal. This time our cabin was absolutely horrible. Faulty wiring, dirty beyond what you can imagine, mice etc. More than happy to help when booking but if you have an issue it will not get addressed. We stayed August 4th and 5th. We tried to laugh and call it an... More

First the good. Great Black Hills location. Plenty for kids to do. Bath facilities are fine. People were very nice. Now the bad. Very crowded and cramped despite the size. Their free Wi-Fi doesn't work (despite their claims). No cable or satellite available---no cell service for that matter. We listened to XM radio which is available and watched videos at... More

Staff was friendly, bathrooms clean, but the campsites are so packed in that your awnings almost touch the next unit. AT&T cell service worked in parts of the CG. Verizon, no service. Power was 120v water pressure good. Internet was limited to checking emails. Laundry room was clean and large. They had several on the property. If you have or... More
