Our friends stayed here, and it was one of the most beautiful campgrounds I've seen. They have patios that have firepits in them. You can also rent a space that has an outdoor kitchen. Some even have a "tree house". The whole place was very clean, and you were NOT on top of each other. Lots of space between RVs. It also offers cabins and Hotel rooms available.
Great location. Sites were a bit tight however lots of trees, pool, activities and a few sites are “presidential” meaning there’s a gas fire pit, gas grill, deck, and they pump out your tanks and pick up your trash daily. So worth it. Staff was very friendly and accommodating in every way. They uphold to their rules so quiet time means quiet time. Very peaceful. A creek runs through it making it perfect. Great for old and young. Entertainment included live music Saturday night. We enjoyed everything and will for sure be back.
This is on the top of my list for a great RV Park. Every aspect of the park was clean. The spaces were ample, grassy and with shade. The landscape is well kept and beautiful. The Mickelson Trail is adjacent which was perfect for our bicycle riding.
Campground Is Gorgeous, Our campsite had a backyard area that lead to an adorable gazebo with a BBQ grill, gas fire pit, and Adirondack chairs. The gazebo is right next to a stream with views of the black hills, Absolutely beautiful! There is walking paths and biking trails right next to the campground. We did not want to leave. Tons of things to do and see. We will definitely be back!
We’ve been going to the Black Hills for 17yrs during the rally. This was our first time staying at Larsson’s. We absolutely loved the campground. We had 20+ friends that were also staying there. Most of us have already booked our reservations for next year for 2wks. We were extremely impressed with the care the staff take to make your stay there memorable. They deliver ice, wood, fire pits (if your site doesn’t already have one) this was a first for us at a campground. We got to know the staff and owners, that are seriously working their butts off to make the place even better. (altho I’m not sure it’s possible) They have RV sites that are beyond anything we’ve ever seen. Some have outdoor kitchens, decks with built in fire pits. Some are very private with decks over the creek and large grass area. You have to see them to appreciate them. 💯 We can’t wait till next year! The campground was so beautiful and peaceful. You’re staying in the heart of the hills what’s not to love. Ed & Patty Copeland…
Our time at Crooked Creek was over the top!!! We loved our cabin in the lodge and all the amenities provided!!! The grounds were especially clean and the evenings were peacefully quiet! The coffee station was a bonus & always fully stocked. We appreciated the General Store and the awesome friendly desk help! On Friday night, we listened to the band and loved the picnic dinner! Thank You to All the staff for All you do! We will definitely recommend this campground to our fam & friends!!!
I enjoyed the stay. The little cabin was great. To sit in the back porch and listen to the creek while enjoying your morning coffee is amazing and relaxing. The campground was amazing, clean and beautiful. The shower houses were outstanding. I would recommend this campground to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much for all your dedication and hard work. It really shows 💜
Thanks again! We did the Michelson trail with our kids. The campground is the place to stop. We met the owner, nice, very friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed the pool. We recommend ! There is a grocery shop with the minimum so it’s very appreciable and convenient.
Well maintained campground with extra amenities (clean laundry room, clean bathrooms and showers, heated outdoor pool, kids playground and a store that provided basic necessities). Amazing staff that would assist you with parking, firewood and ice delivery and by far they were the friendliest campground staff around! They are centrally located to all the tourist spots (Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Needles, 1880 Train, Downtown Hill City, Mickelson Trail and UTV Trails! My husband and I had a wonderful time and we will stay there again!
We always look for a hotel but this time we stayed in a cabin at this RV Resort…LOVED IT! We stayed in cabin 7 and it was as if we we staying in a hotel room. The scenery around the resort is beautiful and we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. We would be outside at our pic-nic table and staff would always Stop and say HEY and see if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again!
