My husband and I stayed here on our trip to South Dakota. I loved this cabin and the surrounding area. It is on a quiet street with woods all around and still within walking distance to town. Doug and Mary are the perfect hosts and are very inviting. The cabin was very clean and charming with 2 recliners, kitchen and kitchen table, bath and a queen size bed in the bedroom. Off of the bedroom was a back door that went out to the patio with grills for the guests to use and a fire pit with chairs. I really enjoyed staying here. Deer were around every day and we were lucky to be able to feed some when we sat around the fired pit. They come through there around 7pm. So if you are in Hill City, stay here at these cute cabins. You will have fun!

Doug and Mary are the best. They make you feel at home! They gave you suggestions on where to eat and things to do.Look forward to staying there in the future. Met a really nice couple from Minnesota, and the turkey and deer come to visit daily.

Great place to stay within city limits, but felt like we were in country. We stayed in cabin #4 with deer and turkwys scrolling through morning and evenings. Doug and Mary are so nice and friendly and make you feel like family. Thanks for the great visit, we will definately come back. Mike and Brenda Gottwalt(Carver,Mn)

We stayed in the motel and had a great stay. The owners are very nice and accommodating. Clean comfortable rooms. The fire pit and grilling area is very nice. Walking distance to town. Every evening the deer stroll by along with turkeys. Would recommend staying. We will be back when in Hill City.

We stayed at a Trails End cabin for two nights while riding the Mickelson Trail two days. Doug & Mary keep very clean cabins, are gracious hosts during a busy time in the Fall of 2020. We dined in, take-out & ate out all during these Covid-19 pandemic times. It is a quite location yet close to downtown, 2 blocks, easy walking. White-tail deer & wild turkeys calling give it a more rural feel. A small campfire by the Ponderosa hillside is a delite to the end of your day. Do it.
