My 2 girlfriends and I went to Hill City for a weekend getaway. We got a late start on Friday from East River SD and I called Mary and she was so accommodating to the fact that we would be getting in a little later than normal. She was very helpful when we checked in and gave us ideas of... More

Just stayed 3 nights at the Trails End with a group of friends. Mary & Doug go out of their way to make you feel welcome & peephole for any needs you might have. Units are exceptionally clean & well kept up. Hot tub, grills, & fire pit are some of the extras that make it memorable to relax with... More

We stayed two nights in a two-bedroom cabin. The cabins are along Park Street, just about 1 ½ blocks off Main Street. We were checked in by Mary, of proprietors Doug and Mary. She was friendly and helpful and check-in was quick and easy. The cabins are neat, upgraded units in the western tradition. Our cabin had a queen bed... More

The room was very comfortable and clean. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. There were also gas and charcoal grills available for use, and also a hot tub. The location is very quiet, but it is only takes a few minutes to walk to downtown. The hosts were a friendly and gracious couple, and made... More

We can't say enough about what an awesome place this is to stay. The owners of the Motel, Doug & Mary, are some of the nicest & cordial people you will meet anywhere. Lot's of places to eat, shop, and close travel to many other small towns. What was so nice for us, we could ride our RZR all over,... More

We spent 5 nights here, and loved everything about Trails End Cabins. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and you can't beat the location. (It's great not being on the highway, yet walking distance to town.) Guests have access to a common area that includes a hot tub, picnic area, gas grills and a fire pit. Most evenings during our... The cabin was clean with updated decorating. It's a kitchen, bedroom and bath. It's pretty small. The wifi is poor. It's on the expensive side. The cabin is near the main tourist area. If you are looking for a wilderness type experience, this is not it. The owners are very nice. Check out time is early, 10am. Unexpected for the... More

We only stayed one night, but the quality of the rooms and the friendliness of the owners was exceptional. We stayed in #8, it was a cute room, perfect for what we needed. The owner filled us in on what there was to do in the area, and when we told her we were taking the wildlife trail, she told... More

I recently stayed 3 nights in Cabin #3. I brought my bicycle to cycle in each direction from Hill City on the Mickelson Trail. For entry to the path, this location was close, safe and easy to get to the trail. I could walk one and one-half blocks downtown to eat, do laundry, shop and sometimes sit and people watch.... More

Great place & location. close to Hill City, yet quite side street. Shaded cabin, with nice big pines in the front. Back deck has nice area for outside dining, BBQ, & covered hot tub. Well kept, clean area, nice owners. The bedroom is small, but who needs a big area when you have all the outside to relax! Nice kitchenette,... More
