Stayed her over the Valentine's Day weekend, 2021. Room is clean and well appointed. It is a little small compared to some other hotels, but when you convert an old building into a hotel you only have so much space. Bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water, and fairly quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's a nice place to stay when in Deadwood.
This hotel is one of our favorites. Always clean, and you can’t beat the location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Ready for this pandemic to get over so we can use the valet again. We will be staying there again.
This review is based on the fabulous customer service I received upon having to cancel my reservation. My flight from DFW never made it to Rapid City and was unable to get another flight, so I canceled reservation and will not be charged thanks to the wonderful GM Michelle. Also, Ashley at front desk was helpful and black hills vacation reservations as well. Will try again to get to Deadwood soon. And will book Hotel Gold Dust for sure. Thanks
The stay could have been better, could have been worse. No ice in the hotel, no bottles of water either and the rooms are very small. We had to walk across the street to the Holiday Inn for H20. Beds were comfortable and the location is the best part of the hotel.
Entering our room was probably 90 degrees. A girl came to our room to adjust thermostat and it never cooled off, so we just kept the window all the way open in the dead of winter. Room is noisy and bed is really hard and uncomfortable. The room is very very small, in fact the bathroom takes up half of the room. They do have a limited breakfast which was nice - The hotel was updated and looks nice.
