This campground is on one end of town & not near enough to walk to downtown-especially on a rainy, dark night. The bathrooms were clean and there is a bus that stops by if you are here for more than one night.

When my husband and I were planning this trip, we requested brochures from the state. When the books arrived, we used them to map out our trip and decided to book our stay for a week at Whistler Gulch Campground. The campground is in Deadwood and has a very nice little trolley that runs frequently to the Main Street area....

We stayed here on 8/31/2016 in sleeping cabin #3. The only reason I gave one star is because the bathroom across the driveway was clean and had a sink, and had electricity, air conditioning and tv in the cabin. Otherwise, we had booked two nights and left after one. The sleeping cabin was filthy; the garbage can wasn't cleaned out...

We stayed one night when passing through Deadwood and it was fine. The location is at one end of town but it's not far really to drive, although Deadwood has a trolley to take passengers downtown to avoid parking. The washrooms were clean. The sites were close - more like an RV park, not really a campground feel. The wifi...

We have stayed here for several years and until we recently started going other places I didn't realize how dated the place has become. While it still has the best campground location in the black hills as campers have gotten larger the sites here have not. They are pretty close together and really tight if you are by a tree....

Whistler's Gulch had everything I needed for my 7 day stay. The staff were excellent and very knowledgeable of the area. I can not find one thing negative about this camp site. If I ever get out to Deadwood again, I will surely stay here. Thank you staff for the great stay. Thomas West, McClellandtown, Pa

My sons and I had a wonderful time at Whistler's Gulch. It was cleaning with a very nice and helpful staff. It was close to Deadwood for family fun. The town trolley came into the campground for convienent transportation to town and activities.

The campground is clean and well maintained. Sites a bit crowded. They advertise wifi, but we could not connect to the wifi even when close to the office in the laundromat. It is close to Deadwood which makes it easy to see the sites there. A trolley runs by the entrance several times a day to take you into Deadwood.

Nice large, private tent sites. Ok bathroom, did not use showers. On the far end of town, shuttle stop, although we waited for the shuttle for over 30 minutes before deciding to just walk the mile and a half to downtown. Ended up walking to mount moriah.....i would recommend driving there instead if you dont want a workout.

This such a cool RV park. It has an abandoned mine on the property and points of interest. Everyone is so Nice. Our battery went out in our toad,They jumped us off. The lots are nice and flat and the trolley comes every half hour to take you to town. This park really caters to their visitors.
