Prairie House Manor was our kids ( 1, 4, 8 and 11) favourite. There were lots of toys and boardgames, and some of them learned to play checkers while we where there. The manor has a central location for walking around in De Smet. I even walked to the Laura Ingalls home- site. There are delicious homecooked breakfast options that...

Truly a one-of-a-kind place to stay in De Smet. Exceptionally clean and cozy. Japanese Garden Room was terrific, with our own private hot tub. What a way to relax just before bedtime. Breakfast was scrumptious. We played a couple of games of billiards in the enclosed front porch. Outstanding hosts in a lovely home.

The whole place was beautiful and sparkling clean. The owners were friendly and down to earth. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Airy, relaxing and enjoyable environment. I have an anxiety disorder and staying in a strange place can be extremely challenging for me and I had no problems staying here. I felt comfortable and welcome....

This is a very lovely B & B and a great place for couples or families. The Rose Garden room is very comfortable and spacious. It does front on a surprisingly busy street, and the windows are not well insulated - if you are sensitive to noise you might choose a different room. Breakfast was tasty. I recommend!

I was in town for the last night of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant. Wish I'd had longer in that beautiful Japanese Garden room! The bed was incredibly comfortable, the jacuzzi tub was relaxing, and the hosts were helpful and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and I got to talk to some other guests who I ended up...

My 12 year old daughter and I stayed here in July. We were on a 3 1/2 week vacation changing hotels every night except for 2 several night stays. We were so glad we chose this as one of our places to just take our time in. Andy and Jenny were very friendly and helpful with tips on what else...

My 10 year daughter and I stayed one night and were very happy with our visit. The host were friendly, the room was cozy and clean, and the breakfast fun with the pancake man made for my daughter - right out of Little House in the Big Woods. Thank you for making our "girls weekend" extra special!

My daughter (9 years old) and I stayed at the Prairie House Manor and it was awesome! We booked the room with the twin daybeds and it was perfect. The room is cute and cozy and the bathroom is very large, everything was spotless and the beds were comfortable. The house is beautiful and the couple running it are great....

In the heart of DeSmet one house away from the "house that pa built" a great stop for all Little house on the Prairie fans. The owners are great people. The b & b is set up with a porch for reading and games, lemonade during the day and coffee in the morning --- like you would get a friends...
