Very small room with broken furniture and very loud neighbours. Plus side, staff excellent when you could find them way to much mobile phone usage difficult to find them. In superb location. Needs a facelift. Expensive for what you get. Would probably go back.

The surrounding of the hotel is perfect - a lot of greenery/trees/water. The room we got is overlooking the lake and has a huge balcony. The furnishing of the room is modern and looks expensive, though the details might have been taken care of. The room itself (though not the smallest in the offer) is quite small (especially when we were forced to eat breakfast & dinner in the room due to covid) and the same size is applicable for a really tiny bathroom. The mattres in our bed was extremely soft - definitely not a medium one (too soft for us as we sleep on the hardest available at home). The room itself as well as the corridors, reception etc. look really nice and modern. The SPA is wonderful - great massage and other treatments. Although the saunas were closed due to covid, we enjoyed jacuzzi a lot as well as the spectacular view from the pool/jacuzzi. The restaurant itself was closed due to covid and all meals were served to our room - the amount and the quality of food were really great. The chef should be really proud of himself/herself. Apart from the hotel's surrounding, the meals is definitely the greatest advantage! The staff was really helpful and friendly and addressed all our concerns during our stay to make it a memorable visit. We will definitely come back to Herbarium, but probably during late spring/summer when the surrounding area will look even greater than in March :)

Yes, the building and the area are picture perfect, however the quality of some facilities and sadly the service fall way behind. During our visit many SPA facilities were our of order. My friend reported it and we were kept waiting for the jacuzzi to start working as promised by member of staff. Never happened. Overall, the facility was cold with no atmosphere and members of staff ,that only cared to charge you for everything - even the facilities not available. This was reported to the management, yet there was very little intrest from their side to listen and to understand the situation. Beautiful building with no hospitality.

We stayed here over new year, from 30.12.2019 until 1.1.2020. We expected a relaxing holiday in a quiet atmosphere. Here what we experienced: Location and Infrastructure: The Hotel as such is very nicely located on a little lake. The buildings and the garden/park is beautiful and romantic. The SPA is relatively small (and basic) but nicely done. We liked the location a lot. The room: We were in the new building on the side in front of the lake. The room was nicely (modern) decorated. The TV is much too small compared to the distance from the bed. And the rooms are very very noisy! One hears every step from upstairs and from outside the corridor. And since guest meet and sit on the chairs in the corridor, it is very noisy in the building until midnight. The building does not have hotel standard regarding acoustic. Room service was also not appropriate for 4 star (beds were not made properly). The service: Overall we were disappointed with the service. Staff was not really friendly, did not pay attention and seemed not motivated (maybe not well educated). The receptionist was even quite unfriendly. The bar was most of the time not occupied. The food: Over all okay-isch. The new years dinner was disappointing because until the plates reached our table, the food was cold. We travel a lot, private and for business and we see many different hotels. So compared to our experiences with other hotels and the experience made during our stay, we will not come to that hotel again. Mainly because we were disappointed from the service / staff and the noisy room.

The hotel and location is impressive with nice garden area and easy to access lake which is beautiful. Overall the experience is better then average but very slow WiFi, non functional HVAC in the room and 5 day in arrow same boring breakfast offer is taking away a lot from a potentially great experience. Especially the very hot room temperature was an inconvenience, which was not resolved even after requesting assistance 3 days in a row. Housekeeping, restaurant and reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Managing staff could definitely learn from their team. All together it was a pleasant stay with our family of 5. Once technical issues are fixed it would be worth for a return trip of 2-3 days.

Not bad, but I would expect much more in a four-stars hotel and for that substantial price. Nice place - impressing surrounding, nice view, park, buildings, lake at a distance of a few steps. Tasty dinner, well served, good service. Variety of facilities and that's basically all. Capacity of the pool to small for such a large complex, price much too high comparing to the level of luxury. Capacity and quality of sauna far below any standard - three very small saunas, while one of them occupied for pre-booked personal treatment, exluding it for the rest of hotel guests. People are crouded at the entry, there is even not enough hooks for a towel or dressing-gown. 3 desk chairs in leisure area. I would really like to say that the size would be good for a small hotel, but the truth is that there was even no cold water in the taps (only warm), not mentioning ice ord cold pail. Pool and sauna opened at 12:00, hard close at 21.00 and you are simply asked to leave it by a staff who leaves door open aften putting the request. Small hotel bar at a hall, on the way to canteen. Closes at 22:00, exeptionally at 23:00 if manager allows. Very nice service, but again - far under desired capacity, you need to wait for a drink even if 70% of seats are free, while the drinks are extremly expensive. I have not used gym, so hard to assess quality, but again hard chance to use if this is open for limited time only, and prebooked for closed event. Hotel room ok, but nothing speciall - have seen simmilar in a nuber of standard hotels. To summarize, good base and surrounding, good potential, but far away from a four-star luxury I would expect and for the price you need to pay.

We stayed for a couple of nights at the start of September. The spa is great, the restaurant is excellent and the rooms are clean, smart and well-equipped. In the restaurant they serve al-a-carte, or tasting menus of varying sizes. The chef is good, and the service decent. Drinks selection is fine, and the house wine is worth a try. Breakfast was plentiful, and had a wide-choice. If you get good weather then the hotel is situated in fantastic grounds - plenty of green, a great lake and peace-and-quiet. Well worth a visit, and we will be back.

Went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, stayed for a few days. While the place is almost perfect, there are some small issues to improve the experience and make it unforgettable. Pros: -The place is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are stunning, the lake is fantastic - it has a feel of absolute bliss and serenity; -The decor of the rooms (and the hotel) is tasteful and overall the estate looks amazing; -The dinners in the Werbena Restaurant were flavourful and delicious. If there are not enough guests for a buffet, you will be served a 4-course set menu (which was fantastic on our first day and OK on the second.) Unfortunately, the swimming pool was closed during our stay due to a malfunction. Shame, as it looked great! In lieu of compensation, the hotel offered us free use of their water equipment (kayaks, boats, solemarans) and bikes. The cons: -Standard ("Comfort") room was not equipped with the herbal toiletries set that the Comfort Plus room had; both rooms could also use a kettle for some evening tea/coffee; -AC cannot be turned off completely (e.g. for the night) - you can turn it down for a while but it will start working again after some time - problematic for light sleepers; -Breakfast was not as great as anticipated - no scrambled eggs, omelettes or bacon; sunny side up eggs were overcooked. That being said, there was quite a choice of other things (sausages, local deli meats, cheese, delicious bread!); -There was no beach with a gentle slope in the water; moreover, there were weeds right in front of the pier. It makes the swimming experience less enjoyable as the weeds keep touching you as soon as you enter the water; The staff, however, was extremely nice. Mr Jakub, the receptionist, was especially helpful with our queries - he also saved us from a malfunctioning AC - thank you so much, sir! Overall, the hotel deserves an 8 out of 10 - some small improvements and it will be perfect! We will definitely visit again!

Really place, they have used a lot of money to make this place. Beautiful deco with Barcelona and Egg chairs (copy) but it looks very good The rooms has a nice view to the lake and also perfect deco, only minus no coffee or tea options on the room and slow internet The spa area was really beautiful and clean Th kitchen was perfect, we got a 5 dishes menu and it’s was perfect. The breakfast was also good with home made jam. Only minus the bread could be better And good place for a weekend

Overall experience was very good 4 out of 5 rating however we did not use the Pool & Spa facilities, so we can’t tell anything. Pleasant & friendly staff, smiling & helpful. The place itself is located in beautiful surroundings by a clean lake, peace and quiet is what you definitely find here, lovely view from a restaurant terrace. The hotel owns their own veg & herbs garden which is amazing! We happened to see guys from the restaurant picking herbs for the meals. Food was delicious a la carte as well as for the New Years party we attended. The restaurant is spacious with big glass window panes, giving a great view & brightness during the day and dark interior design adds a very cozy atmosphere especially in the evening. We loved it. Breakfasts are quite good, fresh & tasty. Regarding rooms-our one was clean, but the wooden floor was dusty. Bed-slightly too small for us, thought that 160 cm wide was the standard for a double bed, but seems it isn’t. Unfortunately the wooden floors do not isolate noises-we heard other guests from a floor above walking throughout the night. Also, there was no kettle in the room which to me is a disadvantage. Our room was facing the lake-we had an amazing view with the full moon in the sky! Great bathroom, clean, elegant, with bathrobes & enough space to store your belongings. Be careful, as the water pours out of the shower which makes the floor slippery! Our foot mat was wet all the time. There was a strange gassy smell in the underground corridors connecting the old & new parts... We are coming back soon to a family party in the early summer, hoping to experience good time again.
