Masks seem to be optional for staff, particularly the ones making your breakfast. Not much more than the occasional grunt when interacting with the front. Generally not very outgoing. Great pool. Exercise equipment is decent.
Very good breakfastStaff was courteous and friendly like the bar area did not have the opportunity to use most facilities since we were there for such a brief period of time would definitely recommend and use your facility again thank you
We stayed here overnight as we were driving across the country. We picked the hotel because of the convenient location, and the Wyndham reputation. We saw a couple of billboards advertising that AmericInn was a COVID safe hotel, so we were feeling pretty good that we had reserved a room there. My husband has underlying health issues, so we can't afford to take any chances. The hotel itself is quaint, and was clean during our stay. During normal times it would be a great place to stay. During a pandemic? Not so safe. When we checked in, I was surprised by the fact that only one of the front desk staff was wearing a mask. There is plexiglass at the counter, but that only does so much. There were several guests in the lobby without masks. I made an effort to ensure that I was appropriately distanced, but it took a bit of dodging as we got our stuff to the room. It was a Friday night, and in the middle of hunting season, so there were several groups staying at the hotel. It was bad enough that there were so many people without masks. It was worse that they gave us a bit of the 'stink eye' becaue we were. Early the next morning we were shocked to see the dining area full of folks enjoying the buffet, sitting close to one another with no masks. We got our car loaded quickly and exited, opting to get breakfast in a safer way at a drive-thru later in the morning.…
We stayed here thinking during COVID and the spikes in South Dakota it would be a safe bet as Wyndham hotels used to be better. We were wrong! No mask, used by staff at all, reception, breakfast Buffett with no social distancing. All the guests were also not practicing any COVID precautions. The room was dark, dirty, and the toilet overflowed on arrival. We moved on quickly after that stay!
My husband and I were on our way back home from a vacation so we needed a place to stay. When we checked in we were given our room keys and went to our room. I pulled back the covers and there were black hairs on the bed and pillow. I went and told the front desk they put us in another room. The same thing hairs everywhere plus the window was open and it doesn’t lock. Went back to the front desk talked to manager he put us in another room (an upgrade) with a hot tub. Please there were hairs in the tub. Looked like someone bathed their dog. This hotel is gross inside and out and I am not a picky person. Plus there wasn’t one employee that had a mask on.
