Stopped here after leaving the Inter Island ferry. Far better than staying in Picton also gives a good start for our onward journey to Nelson the following day. Rooms are spacious and well decorated and include a kitchenette and table. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet despite being near a main road. There was no traffic noise... More

I'd never stayed in a motel and was very pleasantly surprised. Spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Service was friendly and the hotel is just outside Picton, but a good location for an onward journey to Nelson or the Abel Tasman area. There is also a pool, but it's exposed to the road so we didn't try it.

Really loved the link water motel. Rooms are well decorated and include a kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable and quite. The owners are very helpful gave us advice on eating in the area and walks, they even called a few places to see if booking a table was needed. The motel is very close to the start of the... More

About 25 of us chose to stay with Adam and Melissa for 3 nights while we enjoyed a Marlborough College(co-ed) reunion of the mid-fifties. What a wonderful place, and we were made so welcome. It was a great base for us all to do our daily outings, Some stayed in the motels, and some in backpackers, who all said it... More

The Linkwater lodge motel is a fantastic place to stay that isn't far from Picton ferry terminal. We stayed one night and was very happy with our room. The motel is modern and very clean. The staff were very friendly too. There is free parking and free wi-fi also.

Totally impressed by our stay here with our kids (5 and 10). We had a two bedroom unit (#4) which was extremely tidy, well equipped and comfortable for a family of four. Owners are super friendly and helpful. Very easy parking for boats/trailers etc. really nice farm / orchard outlook and quiet. Plus only half hour from Picton and four... More

Arrived after 6pm in mid-Nov'15 without booking. Was welcomed in and hosts went out of the way to accommodate me in backpacker's area even though not fully open due to their refurbishing. Got room ready very quickly. All much appreciated as great stop for next day driving into Punga Cove in the Sounds.

We stayed at this motel 1 night in transit to the south of the South Island . Somehow our booking got messed up and we had actually only booked a double room instead of one for us and our 2 children . Despite our late arrival time from the Picton ferry ( 11pm) the manageress called and woke her husband... More
