I always look for the local motels that still exist. The rooms are extremely clean, great service and very friendly. I highly recommend the Ace Motel for those traveling through and visiting the Black Hills. Thank you Vicki. 👍
The Ace motel is an older motel - as long as you understand that going in, things will be fine. We enjoyed parking right in front of our room and the screen door on the room was a great touch! You definitely can get the feeling that the place is older when you go in, but it is well kept and comfortable. Unlike newer places, the rooms have thicker carpet, like a house, so it is very homey and comfortable. There is a park area near the office and the location is good, but not right on the main drag. A couple of notes - the beds were not super soft, but were acceptable. The rooms are on central heat / air, so you don't have much control; however, you also have a ceiling fan in your room, which is unusual for motels. We didn't end up needing it as we were very comfortable. If you have any electrical devices with a third prong, make sure to take an adapter with you as the plugs are the old two prong style. I would definitely recommend the Ace Motel.…
Great stay! Love the cozy cottege atmosphere❤ beautiful flowers, warm rooms. Friendly staff. My daughter and i felt safe. Thank you Vicki! Will visit again in the future if we ever do the trip again. Also coffee is right around the corner🎈
Arrived without reservations. Owner Vicki was welcoming and this place was pristine! Easy walking distance to geographic center monument, dining, grocery, and pharmacy for those traveling by bicycle (like us) or extended car road trip and needing to use a different set of muscles. Speedy wi-fi. Quiet side street. Budget friendly.
After a long day on a cross-country road trip, the reviews here and on Google directed us to this gem of a motel. Vintage. Quiet. Comfortable. Zinnias in the parking area are a nice touch. Owner was friendly and contentious about her motel.
Great little motel off the beaten path. We are on a motorcycle ride through the Black Hills of South Dakota. Comfortable beds and close to restaurants. Vicki is very nice and the rates are reasonable. We would stay here again.
What a very pleasant motel very friendly very clean nice quaint place we recommend this place to anyone. Vicky the owner was a lifesaver by helping us out with the places we came into Belle Fourche on our vacation she was booked but she found us a place to stay and her little motel. We are hoping to visit again. Myron and Diane
Have stayed here twice on our way to Custer. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. I felt safe leaving my vehicle parked outside overnight. A few updates would be nice, but the price is nice. We'll be there next trip
We stumbled across this little place while searching the area for a motel that met with our needs. The rooms are pretty small (which can work if needed) and they are pretty clean. The location is a little different but that didn't hurt anything. The rate that we got was a tad on the high side, I thought, considering all of the factors of what we've been paying throughout our little trip. The person running the place is friendly and seems to do her best with things. Overall, I would probably recommend this place to most people that don't need to have large areas in which to stay and for those that prefer the mom and pop type of environment rather than their corporate counterparts. Oh, I found the wi-fi to be a bonus deal, here as not only is it free, it was secured rather than open like everyone else.…
Clean and quaint. Owner very helpful and went out of her way to help. Highly recommend. Close to downtown nice and quite. Has microwave and refrigerator was is helpful is staying for extended period of time.
