Billie & David are the best hosts - they make you feel so comfortable. Like visiting best friends! We’ve spent a football weekend each fall at the Lowry House for 6 or 7 years. So much nicer than staying in a hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The beds are luxurious. Billie is an excellent cook and her breakfasts are wonderful! We look forward to visiting them every year!

Having guests like Bob and Kathy are what makes our job so rewarding. They are really wonderful people and we can not thank them enough for their continued patronage. Thanks again Dave and Billie

My girlfriend and I were in town for one day to visit family. This was our first B&B experience as a couple. Normally we stay at the hotel (The Hampton Inn) up the road a bit. This time I decided to try something different. Greats hosts, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. And I really appreciated that they asked about food allergies, and made something delicious for my girlfriend who is a vegetarian. My recommendation would be to skip the hotel and stay at the Lowry House Inn.

Wonderful place. Couldn't have been more pleased with choice. Very friendly hosts and a great young granddaughter who happened to help them the next day with breakfast. Clean, very nice room and great meal. We would definitely go back.

In the little town of Seneca, South Carolina we discovered this charming inn, owned and run by Dave and Billie Grimes, (inn originally built 1916 and completely restored and renovated by Dave!). We booked this at the last minute, and we got really lucky. From its shaded front lawn to the huge veranda (with fans!) to the great breakfasts, this is THE place to stay if you're in the area for Clemson football games, (just fifteen minutes away), or just want a nice weekend getaway. The room was really nice and comfortable and clean, the price was very fair and reasonable, and the entire place was very well-appointed with nice details and antiques. There are several good restaurants on Ram Cat Alley, and there is also a great vinyl record store here, YesterDaze Records, for any vinyl hounds (like me!) who may want to find rare records. There are also several thrift stores in the area, and the town of Walhalla is also worth a visit, too. The Lowry Inn was a total surprise and unexpected pleasure!

We stayed at The Lowry House Inn because we were in the area house hunting. We could not have chosen better! We checked in after an exhausting day and were immediately offered a glass of wine and a great visit with David, the host, on the front porch. When Billie, the other host, arrived shortly after, she joined us as well. Billie went all out for breakfast, serving a delicious almond brioche French toast and mouth watering eggs benedict. Delicious! The inn is decorated in period antiques and the 1915 craftsman has been lovingly restored to perfection by David, who worked as a contractor/builder before running the inn. There are 4 lovely guest rooms to choose from, all very reasonably priced. We walked to historic downtown Seneca for dinner the first night, which was no more than 10 minutes and a few blocks from the inn. There were several good restaurants to pick from. There was a street musicl festival that night which was an added bonus. We loved our 2 night stay and have plans for a return visit. Billie and David were excellent hosts that made us feel right at home.
