I have been staying at Kiawah Island/Seabrook Island yearly for almost 15 years. I have had good experiences and bad ones. Renting from a homeowner can be enticing, sometimes the prices are better-but you never know what you are going to get (or what needs to be fixed, if it will ever get fixed, etc). I rented through Wyndham last... More

We stayed at a private rental home on Seabrook Island. I chose this house because the website listed it as $222 per night. I did not notice the tiny word from above the $ 222. When I found out that the actual cost was over $350 a night I was shocked! But it was too late by then because we... More

Management response:

Thank you for posting your Seabrook Island experience & ResortQuest Seabrook is pleased to hear the accommodations were nice and met your expectations. As you stated the rates are “from” rates that reflect the winter season. Note this is done only when an actual date search is not done to specify the season. ResortQuest Seabrook does apologize for any confusion... More

The TERRIBLE rating is due to our experience with RESORT QUEST, the property manager, not the owner of Pelican Watch Villa Unit 1330, which we rented for 7 nights in early May 2011. If you have a desire to pay for a vacation rental amenity and then spend hours of your vacation time waiting for the technician to show up... More

We have many happy memories with our vacations at Seabrook. This is our family's fourth year at Seabrook /Pelican Watch over a several year time period. We were here last July 2008 and the highlights were seeing the sea turtles "boil" (come out of their covered nest), kayaking, and tours in Charleston. This year is more relaxed with walking, swimming... More

I have been a regular summer villa renter at Seabrook SC for over 6 years and unfortunately the maintenace of even 'Platinum' units has severely degraded during this time. Types of problems I ran into include disfunctional hot water heaters, filthy air ducts, noisy air conditioners, windows without blinds, and even breakage/shattering of shower doors. The ResortQuest office used to... More
