Our rooms were great, very clean, staff all very nice and the access to everything was very convenient. The parking was terrible. Parking garage across the street. The spaces were very tight and there seemed to be a concrete pillar every two spaces. Not enough handicapped parking and not easy for handicapped people to get to and from garage but the ramp to pick up guests in the lobby was nice. We were there in off season and i can't imagine there being enough parking during peak season.
We traveled to Myrtle Beach for spring break 2022. We enjoyed the pool, the bar and the the beach at the hotel. Our family also enjoyed being able to rent a movie for free in the lobby. They have a lot of amenities for all types of travelers. The area surrounding the hotel was nice and clean. I felt safe in the area. I really liked that the hotel had multiple hot tubs and pools, and my kids ages 8 & 10 loved the lazy rivers, both inside and out. And all the staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything or had questions. We will be repeat visitors.
The bellman Cornelius was extremlely helpful, he would shuttle us over to the parking garage. He brought up carts when we were leaving and took them to our cars and unloaded, Very pleasant, knowledgeable!!
Oceanfront, easy to walk to Main and adjacent streets, with a lot of staff who provide great customer service; it's expensive and a resort fee is automatically added to the cost. I didn't mind paying the higher than usual cost for a hotel, because I was guaranteed a first floor unit, the bedroom has 2 beds, there's a large bathroom, and I take food so appreciate the stove, fridge, dishwasher, and dishes. Washer and dryer are in the unit.
The pools could be larger for my liking. However, the hot tubs were great. The room was excellent. The service was great. Honestly, we really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend the Avista. The resort is rated best in North Myrtle beach but, only gets 4 circles on Trip Advisor. My friends and I agree that the rating should be a 5 or 4.8 only because the pool could be larger.
Five couples stayed at the Avista Resort during SOS. We enjoyed the hotel and it’s amenities. A bonus is that they also had a DJ several days and set up a dance floor at the pool. We loved the hotel, ocean view and time spent with great friends around the pool. Many memories were made!
Mildly outdated, restaurants and bars are over priced due to quality of product. Room was nice and staff is very friendly. Location is nice but a little out of the way for waking. No golf cart parking allowed.
We have been coming to Avista for years and absolutely love it there! I’ve been going since I was little now bringing my kids!! They love it too! The resort service is the best I have ever experienced!
We stayed here for my husband's birthday and enjoyed ourselves. The sandy area beyond the pools, with nice tables & chairs, is a great idea. Our 1-bdr condo had everything we needed, though the galley kitchen was tricky to utilize. Getting to check-in was a hassle, b/c of the tiny temporary parking area; no room to turn around easily & no way to know if it's full. No problem with parking across the street, since we didn't plan to go out. The staff was quick to respond to requests for service (TV issue).
Stayed at Avista Resort. Love the way they make everything so easy. From check in to check out. Area has all you need to enjoy your stay. Lots of things to do within walking distance. The employees are fantastic and the amenities are great. We loved going to Happy Hour and playing pool. Food and drinks were great.
