Prince Resort is celebrated for its clean, comfortable atmosphere and rooms that are not only spacious but also offer stunning views, despite some signs of wear. The hotel's prime location near the pier and beach is a highlight for guests, providing easy access to local attractions.
While the views and beach access are often praised, the value proposition receives mixed reviews, with some guests deeming the resort cost-effective and others pointing to pricey rooms lacking extras. The service is generally efficient, yet some guests have encountered issues with the elevators and staff attitudes.

I really like staying in Tower 2 ocean view which is ocean front really just it is located across the street but there in nothing blocking your amazing view. The parking is in that tower also so it is very convenient. The rooms are set up nicely with all you need in the kitchen and has a washer/dryer in the unit. The unit is a good size as weIl and was comfortable for a weekly stay. Our room was very clean and the balcony is really nice . It is just a few miles to shop, eat or do whatever you would like to do. This area of Myrtle Beach seems safer than other areas I have visited.

The 1 bedroom ocean view was perfect for looking out over the ocean and the size was comparable to a small apartment which was great.
We stayed due to our room being prepaid and the amount was not eligible for a refund.
At first glance we noticed how roomy the place was and the beautiful view from our balcony. Then we turned around after opening the curtains and turned on the lights, and saw the most filthy carpet, the filthy chair and the filthy loveseat. I would not let my dog sit on them is how filthy it was. We immediately covered the furniture with sheets. Next we go to the bedroom which looked just as bad. So I started spraying disinfectant on the pillows, sheets and cover. I pulled out the sleeper because I was thinking that it probably wouldn’t be used as much as the bed even though the sofa cushions were filthy. The sheets were actually white and appeared clean so I disinfected all of the sheets and this is where we slept while we were there. The kitchen was as clean just to get by. The cleaning person definitely needs to be trained on how to properly clean a room. BUT!!! The owner of the Prince Resort needs to be aware that this room was not acceptable. You could see dirt all over the place. The owner needs to do maintenance to upkeep this property on the inside. The door plate had been replaced but you could see where the dirty old door plate had been, the floor as you come into the condo had dirt and something resembling crumbs on the floor. This condominium is very dated looked and needs to be updated. I wouldn’t walk barefoot on the floor and after bathing or showering we just put towels under our feet to walk around. The washer was dirty and the dishwasher or utensils, cookware wasn’t used because of the conditions. The stovetop was dirty and we ate out everyday. The refrigerator was very clean and was in good working order.
The bath tub was clean on the inside but there were cracks and yellowing that could be seen. The edging around the tub was black in some places which just simply redoing the caulking would take care of that.
We had such a great time sightseeing that we spent most of our time away and on the beach. Unfortunately we are not a wealthy couple who could afford to just pick up and go to another condominium so we stayed little as possible in the room or on the patio, slept on the sleeper and ate at restaurants.

We stayed at the Prince resort in Myrtle beach to visit our son at college. September 2020. We felt peaceful that their covid-19 safety measures were more than adequate. All the staff wore masks and the hotel had social distancing in place.
We booked a 2 bedroom ocean front condo for the 4 of us adults and our grandson. The condo had a master bedroom with bathroom and balcony access and a 2nd bedroom with 2 double beds and separate bath. We found the beds and pillows quite comfortable as well. Perfect for our 3 day stay. Because this hotel is in North Myrtle there is no boardwalk so it is much less touristy on the beaches. Lots of space for walking and social distancing when needed.
There was no maid service due to Covid-19 but they had stocked our room with extra towels, soaps, shampoo and told us if we needed anything to just dial zero for main desk. Our stay was lovely and all the staff were helpful and friendly.
I highly recommend this resort for your stay in Myrtle beach.

My family, friends and associates have stayed here year after year. We will no longer be staying at this hotel or telling anyone to stay. When we got to the hotel we were an hour early of check in. We had placed on the reservation and called before leaving to confirm this would be okay and room would be available... we were told we would have a room ready. No room was ready. Then they "changed" their parking setup and only one car per room was allowed to park in the parking garage. Our room slept 10 and we had 2 cars... the other vehicle had to park 7 blocks away and the hotel offered no transportation to and from. Nor did they let anyone know who was visiting that this "change" had occurred. Well since the room was not available and the friends that came down with us were unfamiliar with the area we loaded their car with all our belongings and drove 7 blocks to park one of our vehicles and walked back to our friends at the hotel while they waited for us to show them where to park. During this time they were DEMANDED that they leave the spot at registration. Then the staff who demanded them to leave offered them no assistance on where the garage was and where to park. When we finally got to the room it was DIRTY!! There were hand prints all over the glass windows and trash next to the bed. We went down during COVID19 so you would think they would take extra cleaning procedures during this time. They offered no hotel cleaning crew/maids during this time and then offered no trash options during our stay of 4 nights... so the trash just piled up. When we brought all this up to staff no one had answers or had any friendliness towards any of our concerns. The elevators were piled full, no staff would address or maintain that and half of the staff was not even wearing a mask. Overall it was a horrible stay and we will not be going back.

We chose the Prince Resort at Cherry Grove because we wanted a quieter beach near Myrtle Beach. We stayed in a 3 bedroom ocean front unit on the 3rd floor with a perfect view of the entrance to the pier. I would definitely suggest requesting a room on a higher floor if you'd like a nicer view. Our friends were on the 11th floor and their view was indeed lovely. The unit we were in appeared to be clean and (hopefully) sanitized, but there was something sticky on the kitchen floor right by the refrigerator when we got there, so we're pretty sure it had not been properly mopped prior to our arrival. The unit was a bit dreary with dark walls and furniture. Our friends' unit on the 11th floor was bright and airy.
We were told upon arrival that the rooftop pool area (larger pool with the lazy river) was closed for renovation. (Why couldn't that wait until the weather was too cool to enjoy the pool??) When we asked about compensation because we had hoped to use that, we were told nothing would be done. In fact, they looked at us as if we were crazy for asking. (A few years ago at a different place, the pool was closed and we were given free breakfast vouchers while we were there. We did not ask for these....they were just given to us as a token of goodwill. )The Prince Resort management would do well to consider the impression small tokens of goodwill make on clients.
Because of Covid, there was no housekeeping, which was fine with us. We were told to call if we needed anything. The second day, we called and requested fresh towels and toilet paper. We were told that we could only have 1 roll of paper per bathroom because of the shortage. Hmm, we just went to WalMart and bought some. They had plenty! Anyhow, this was around lunchtime, and nothing showed up. We called back around 6:30 or so and finally had the requested items an hour or two later. If you need something, allow plenty of time....as in hours. The next day, we got a phone call asking if we still needed fresh towels and toilet paper? I think there are some issues with logistics somewhere along the line.
There were small maintenance issues in our unit, such as a very leaky kitchen faucet, lightbulb out, an intermittent high pitched noise coming from the closet by the washer/dryer, and a kitchen outlet that didn't work. We thought the coffee maker was dead and called about that (we were told they did not have any extras) but it turned out to be the outlet anyway. Regular housekeeping would have caught all of these issues, but things are slipping by now.
Overall, the unit was ok, but I will most likely look elsewhere for my future visits to the area.

the room even though was a boulevard view room still had a view of the beach at a side angle, we stayed in the tower closest to the beach with a pier in front. The room was clean, and comfortable but could have used a good steam mop however still looked clean. Only noticed when walking in sock feet the first day before going to the beach and pool. I would definitely stay there again, The elevators were not as fast as some. During this time there was no maid service which was understandable, however you could call the front desk if needed. Having a washer/dryer in the room was great for wet towels and bathing suits.

it's just crazy that anyplace would just have 4 handicapped spaces for hundreds of guests! plus someone needs to look at the salt encusted, water condensation soaked cement just as you exit tower one's parking for registration.. it does not look stable, especially with a 15 story building on top of it. The room was great, but since we had to park across the street, three stories up, we almost never left the hotel and since the restaurant was not open while we were there, we had to get delivery, which was pizza, pizza, and more pizza, or we cooked. not a great vacation. you need to buy the parking lot next door and make more handicapped parking and open the restaurant during the week. the bech cafe was expensive, and the drinks were watered down. but your staff was very friendly. maybe you should offer valet parking? our room had a great ocean front vieww room 1103 but the back bedroom had a view of the corridore wall.

First I am glad your were happy with the room and the view. We appreciate all the feedback you have given us about a few concerns. We are in the process to have the insulation under tower 1 redone to take care of the that issue. As for the handicapped parking we do supply the four spots in our registration parking under Tower 1 and have another 34 in our parking garage across the street in Tower 2. I do apologize for the spaces not being available during your stay under Tower 1 . We appreciate your suggestions with the parking and will look into them. I hope we will see you on your next beach vacation!

We stayed at the Prince Resort for 6 days during the 1st week of May. We were in room 1240. At first I thought it was the shadow from the sun reflecting on the carpeting but then I realized the rug had stains all over it the living room area. My husband and I usually take our shoes off when we are at home but could not walk barefoot because the carpeting and flooring was so filthy that the soles our feet were dirty. The chair in the living area was also so dirty I had to put a towel on it to sit on it. The rooms themselves just didn't feel clean.
I showed a picture of the stained carpeting to the front desk clerk who's reply was that a carpet cleaning service would have to be called and it would take 24hrs for the carpet to dry. My question was why was this room sold to me in the first place? I booked this room months in advance. Why didn't housekeeping report this issue? There were several other issues, one which we reported to housekeeping was the stench coming from the hall just outside our room. The housekeeper said she didn't know where the smell was coming from and that she had not spray to use to cover up the smell.
Upon checkout I showed the same person who checked me in pictures of the room and mentioned no one contacted me when I complained about the filthy carpeting and that the room should not have been sold in this condition. She said she wouldn't want to stay in a room with filthy carpeting either and pointed to her notepad stating she took down the info and that the general manager was not in at the moment and someone would be contacting me. No one ever called me back while I was there or after my visit to offer a better room or a refund. The only phone call I received was from a telemarketer offering us free breakfast and $200 to pressure me into buying a condo here. Really?
We did not feel like a valued customer staying here as no one bothered to pay any attention to what we had to say. So, here are some pictures of the room which we were very disappointed in. I would advise you to look elsewhere for a room if you are looking for something clean as the room we were sold gave the impression that this resort's rooms were just beat up and dirty.
P.S. Take your own soap, conditioner and shampoo as what this resort offers is the cheapest you will find.

We are very sorry you did not have a great stay. Reading your review I do believe you rented your condo from an off site rental company. We have our condo carpeting cleaned professionally several times a year so our guests do not have this experience, but we consider all guests important no matter which company handles the rental, so please accept our sincere apology. We send best wishes for a safe and fun summer. We do hope to have the privilege of serving you in the future.

Musty dated rooms broken gates in the parking garage the don’t or won’t open properly. Elevators slow and being utilized more by the staff then the guests who had to wait 30 minutes to get up and down. A little hint to the staff on the elevator wear your masks on your face not around your neck. Multiple calls to the front desk for issues including a 3 ft by 5 ft steel beach cart blocking the hallway. Fire hazard maybe? And a pain in the ass to get around. Also when you book an ocean side view. You should see the ocean not the building next door. All in all. I recommend booking elsewhere between the broken down building. The surly staff and average room. Not worth the time and frustration on your vacation

Over the past 9 years I've stay at Prince Resort over 10 times. I will never stay here ever again!!! I booked a OF 1bdrm suite in Tower 1 on Jan 6th for Jan 18-20. Arrived that Saturday around 430 pm & check in was a breeze. Went to my room & it smelled so bad. Smelled like marijuana & paint. The balcony had just been painted & was inaccessible. All of the patio furniture was sitting right in the living room. Went back to the front desk an asked to be switched to another room. I was told by a manager that all of the balconies in Tower 1 were just repainted & he could move me to a 2bdrm in tower 2 for the same price. Who is the clown to decide to paint the balconies of the entire oceanfront building on a holiday weekend?? WTF kind of deal is that!!?? Why would I need a 2bdrm if its just me & my girlfriend??I turned down his bogus offer & left. I will never stay her ever again!!

We do apologize that you were not pleased with your latest stay at Prince Resort. We do utilize the off season to do improvements on our property and unfortunately the 1 bedroom oceanfront units did happen to be affected over the holiday weekend. We understand why you declined the offer to move to another, larger unit since this was just a short stay. We do hope that you will return to enjoy our upgraded features as you have so many times in the past.
