    Love the Tilghman!
    We always enjoy the Tilghman, and even though we considered cancelling this year because of Covid, we still went and had a great time. Most people were considerate and wore masks inside the building, and most people were considerate enough to wait for another elevator in order to increase social distancing. There was a sanitizer dispenser in the elevators although they were frequently empty, but hey, that must mean people are actually using them. I was disappointed that several of the service men that rode the elevators did not have a mask, particularly when they decide to jump right on the elevator with those of us who wore one. But, the Tilghman is nonetheless, still beautiful in a laid back type of atmosphere. Guests are usually very considerate of each other. Many of the owners seem to be older retired couples, and then there are families with young children who enjoy the many activities for kids at the pool area. Either way, the resort is laid back and family oriented. I noticed they had a kid's movie playing at the pool one night, and I know they have many other activities for the kids. The resort is older, and although it could use a few renovations, it is cared for very well. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, then go elsewhere. This is a family resort. It is across the street from the beach, but we had an oceanfront corner suite on the 12th floor, and the view from the balcony was beautiful! We rented from a realty company this year, but I think we will book directly with the resort next time. I know they have free DVD rentals when you book directly with them.

    Great Place for family to stay
    The only thing my wife didn’t like was the location. It’s North Myrtle Beach and not on Myrtle Beach but I actually like this better. It was quieter and we spent less money over all. We took one trip per day to Myrtle Beach which had so many thing to do and then came back to the hotel for family time which involved a lot of swimming at the pool. The staff is exceptional. My daughter locked the bathroom door with nobody in it and they came an unlocked it for us within minutes. We arrived early and they let us use the pool while they got our room ready before we were supposed to. That and the staff was just warm and welcoming and very friendly. The rooms itself are spacious. Three rooms with three baths was my favorite part. The kitchenette and washer dryer are something you don’t want to be without if your staying more than a couple days. Oh yeah and 3 TVs no actually 3 smart TVs with DVD players was awesome. Logged into prime and Netflix on all 3 TVs with no problems. WiFi is better than I expected. Not just 2 or 3 Mbps but a full 10! You can stream video on your devices! I’ve tried this at other hotels but it doesn’t always work. Here it was as smooth as at home. Obviously the place was clean and still in good condition. It’s not run down, there’s no cracks, tip top shape as if it was new. Parking is plentiful and convenient. Trips for restaurants, groceries, other stuff were short and convenient. This is across the street from the beach but still has a good view even from only the 5th floor. Bars and other things would be a long walk but the good part of that is far enough away from it as well. The hotel itself was entertaining and not eating out 3 meals per day saved a lot of money.

    The place to stay while at Cherry Grove Beach
    Just a two minute walk to the beach (just cross North Ocean Boulevard) and a two min drive to local grocery stores and restaurants..it is in the perfect location. The front desk is very accommodating and helpful. The outside landscaping is constantly manicured to keep the exterior always looking beautiful. The housekeeping staff do a great job of maintaining the inside too, always cleaning and wiping down high traffic areas during this COVID era. The pool deck/aquatic area is exceptionally clean and well kept with a hot tub, pool, and lazy river (along with a smaller indoor pool as well). Lots of parking in the multi level garage so your vehicle is out of the sun. We will be back!

We have been staying at tilghman for many years noe. This hotel has new management. The staff was rude. Never showed any hospitality. Never greeted us when we entered the lobby area. A Never good morning good evening greeting was made. Other customers complained as well. This has never happened in the past. Hospitality has went down the pipe. We even knew the old staff's names that's the relationship they built with customers. When entering the building I knew something was off. Remember...the first impression is always the last impression. Do better.

Been staying at the Tilghman for years. This year was not a enjoyable trip. They are under new management or something. The front desk clerks where not pleasant at all. Did not speak when spoken too. Very snobby. When checking in wanted be nasty because we where allowed to book for 3 nights instead of 4. Not our fault. Clerk booked it. Then as soon as we pulled in on our bikes we where greeted with you have to park all bikes out side they are not allowed under the garage. Remind you it rained for 2 of the days we where there. This should have been explained when they knew people where booking during this particular week. I will say room 7020 was very nice. The house keeper could ensure the comforter did not have spots and stains. It needed to be thrown away.

Our family of eight adults stayed in a three bedroom unit on the 6th floor facing the ocean. The unit is large enough, with shower in the 3rd bedroom as a bonus. Kitchen was well appointed and bathroom water pressure and temperature better than most places. The grounds have lots to do with two pools and two hot tubs, along with lazy river. Just cross the street and you are at the beach. I'd stay here again.

Room #1202 is being advertised as a "3 Bedroom Ocean View Platinum Luxury Suite". This is NOT a luxury suite. The living room TV is broken. There is junk in all 3 bedroom closets, including paint cans and leftover wood flooring. The master bedroom only has one night table. One bedroom is small with an oversize bed about four inches from the closet door. The mattresses have a hard edge and are uncomfortable. Plus, there are two full-size refrigerators (one in the kitchen and one in the dining room next to the master bedroom doorway). According to the staff, the owner has no plans to remove the second refrigerator and the general manager was not very accommodating after I explained the issues in #1202 and he failed to follow up with us during our multi-night stay. As a long-term guest for the past 12 years, it saddens me to watch the Tilghman Resort suites get worse every stay. The negatives have exceeded the positives. If I happen to return, I will update this review.

My family booked a stay for the long Labor Day weekend. Checked into room 1103 at 4pm on Friday. By 10:30 pm, discovered a bed in the third bedroom had visible, large bugs. Called front desk. Person at the desk was not sure what to do. There seemed to be no protocol for this situation. Was told his manager would be in at 11pm and he would have her call me back and confirmed the cell number. I had to call back and was told she had called the room. We were offered to move to another condo but would have to leave our things and only take what we needed. They needed to confirm that it was bedbugs. I suggested to have someone come to the condo. Was told all maintenance had left for the evening. I told her we were leaving and wanted a refund. I was told that she could not do that until it was confirmed that it was bedbugs. When you have bugs crawling in a bed, would you sleep in it???? We packed up at midnight and drove 4 hours back home. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

This was our first time at Tilghman Beach and Golf Resort! We had a great time and even stayed a extra night! Johnna at the front desk was so pleasant. Brandi the assistant manager wears many hats also working in the snack bar, she always has a smile on her face and really wants to make sure you have a great time. she loves her job and it shows. Bradley is awesome as well at the snack bar! Our 3 bdrm was clean, ours was slightly dated but still was enjoyable and a great view! Mike I think his name is, was always cleaning the lobby, carpets downstairs always vacuumed and clean, I would see him all over working hard the whole week! We spent most of our time at the pool and met so many nice people. We really had a great time. I can't forget to mention Rachel, the pool attendant, she takes good care of the guests making sure everything is safe and taken care of at the pool area. Thanks Tilghman for a nice vacation!

We have been staying at the Tilghman for several years. I love the Tilghman, but the rooms are desperately due for a renovation. Many are owned by private owners, and some are owned by the resort. I realize the private owners do their own thing. Many of the privately owned rooms are outdated. But the rooms owned by the resort need help too!! The rooms are showing their age drastically. I would love to know when the last renovation occurred, and when I can hope for a future renovation. The employees work so hard, particularly mopping and vacuuming the floors. They do a great job, and the employees are friendly and do their best to accommodate their customers. The rooms are large. The elevators are fast and the coffee is delicious. The outside grounds are immaculate, as well. But the rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and furnishings are just old and outdated! The rooms desperately need some love. I almost gave three stars because of the room conditions, but what can I say? I still love the Tilghman. Please just do some renovating! It’s way past due!

Each year since 2017 my family along with 5-6 other families go stay here at least once a year if not more. This time the room 3 bedroom ocean front we were placed in was terrible. The chairs and bar stools were stained and filthy, the carpet was filthy, upon arrival the balcony looked like someone dumped dirty mop water on it so we had to mop it up so no one would slip and fall going out on the balcony, the sink in one of the bathrooms drained veeeery slow, the pictures were taken off the wall in one bedroom and were on the floor and the kitchen light would not come on without flipping it 3-4 times. I went down and spoke to “Dee” at the front desk and she sent a maintenance man to address the light and the drain. Another man showed up during breakfast to clean the upholstery and carpet, but who wants to be in a room where the floor and chairs are wet after being cleaned so I declined the service. As the days went on more issues arose…the kitchen sink would stop dripping without adjusting the handle a certain way, the oven and appliances were outdated and the oven didn’t warm up/cook efficiently unless turned on a higher than normal temperature, the kitchen light continued to be an issue, and my son woke up with bug bites all over his legs after sleeping in one of the rooms. This room definitely isn’t up to par and needs to be addressed with the amount of money that we pay to stay there. I’m extremely disappointed, at check out no one even bothered to follow up. As a former travel agent I definitely will think twice before recommending this resort to my past clients and currently researching other places our multi family group may be able to stay next year instead.

The Sunsets were awesome! Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as well as informative. The walk to the beach was much shorter than what the pictures revealed. Just have to ride the elevator and take a few steps.

The resort was nice. Our room was on the 5th floor (wish it would’ve been up higher but we could still see the ocean some). Condo was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. Steps away from the beach. Loved the area we were in. Close to many area attractions.
