Great price, huge rooms and great views. We stayed in an oceanfront room with views of the ocean and pool. No crowds and rooms were very quiet. Also had nice blackout curtains. Very convenient to Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the beach. Will probably stay here again!

Have stayed at this hotel yearly since 2018. Each time the room was clean and spacious. Check in was easy. On site amenities were as advertised. On site restaurants, and convenience shop were open, and had what we were looking for.

Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here. Filthy. Trashy. Horrible customer service. Unsanitary. My “view” should be an indicator since the windows were so gross you couldn’t see out of them. I was afraid to sit on any furniture since they were stained and food smashed into the cushions, blankets had hairs, cigarette burns, Cheetos smashed in them, glasses in kitchen smudged and used. Don’t bother asking for more pillows or towels. You are warned.

We haven’t even checked out of this hotel yet! Once we checked in an got to our room, I was extremely disappointed. After spending $$$$. The curtain out to our balcony wouldn’t open, my husband had to get on a chair and fix it. The curtain rod is about to fall off. My husband had to screw part of it back together, and it is still broken! We don’t have a toilet paper holder, to put the toilet paper on. It is sitting on top of the toilet, stilled wrapped up. When you walk in the door, directly to your left is a sink, and the beds have those springy old school mattresses. Just a very disorganized and broken room.

Amenities were fabulous and the food was great, however…. The rooms were dated and bare, and the walls were PAPER THIN! We could hear every word our neighbors were saying in normal conversation. Also, the bathrooms were itty bitty and the tub backed up immediately! The beds were pretty comfortable though 🤷🏻‍♀️ Overall…. If we ever go back, it will be on an adults only trip without the kids.

Review ✓ minimum Northshore Hotel- 201 75th Avenue North Myrtle Beach SC I booked this hotel because they advertised a beautiful water park, access and view to the beach, and the room looked decent. I was aware of all the fees most hotels are charging. I browsed and browsed and found that all hotels especially on the east coast are charging these horrible fees. For a 7 night stay booked directly through the hotel total 1780.49 Resort charge 208 Tax: 211 Access charge 22.19 Went to sit on the patio about 6:00 am to watch the sun rise- greeted by a cockroach. Then went inside the room greeted by 2 more roaches. The bathroom is very small. The plastic part of the box spring was detached from the bed leaving nails exposed. I immediately went to the front desk to check out. The elevators are very slow and outdated. One guess said someone got stuck on one of the two elevators. The one great perk is the access to the beach. I was advised that they would refund my money for the remainder of my stay. I would have to pay for the one night-246.46. Definitely not worth that price! Overall the hotel gets a 1 star. Would not recommend!!

I apologize to everyone that my submitting this review earlier could have prevented them from reserving a room at this location. This old hotel needs a major upgrade. Walls are thin, so it's noisy. The location is on the beach, which is what we wanted. The bathroom is tiny! When you get out of the shower, you will have to leave the bathroom in order to use your toiletries in comfort. I wondered why in a photo there was an additional vanity and sink directly outside of the bathroom. Now I see why. There is more space in that area. We arrived early evening and left our things to go to dinner. The next morning we unpacked our things and noticed there was no place to place them. A hotel room with no closet? A broom was left behind by Housekeeping. I guess this was to let us know the floors were swept. *Photos attached. My first clue that this was not a good hotel should have been my problems in contacting the front desk or reservations area to book the room. I finally was able to connect with someone after several attempts. I should have continued searching. I felt as if I reserved a room at a $59/night rate. What I was charged far exceeding this. There are several other lodging options with beachfront locations with similar price rates. Keep searching! I will never stay again and I will definitely not recommend.

My family and I booked a last-minute spring break trip to get away from the crazy New York weather we have been experiencing lately. We didn't spend a lot of time looking online and comparing rooms or rates but found this hotel and it had 3.5 overall and the pictures looked nice. We were also attracted by the price and that they boasted a few pools and an outdoor water park as part of the package. Upon arrival, I had to use the restroom quite urgently after the long drive and asked the desk clerk where the restroom was. She gave me directions and I proceeded to them. This was when I first realized what kind of place we had booked as my stomach sank. The "public" bathroom of the resort was dirty, smelly, had rust on the metal pieces and broken tile. After leaving the restroom I began looking around the lobby and realized it was very similar to the restroom. Things were broken and rusty and it was very clear that cleanliness and maintenance were not this resorts strong suits. We proceeded to check in, still hopeful at this point and the receptionist was nice and made check in very simple. We went to our room and my stomach sank even further. The door didn't have any kind of secondary lock like an extra deadbolt that doesn't open when the handle is turned or a latch like most hotels have, the floors were dirty and sticky, the fridge looked like it got in a fight with a baseball bat, the air conditioning unit was rusty and noisy, the sliding door to the balcony was all bent and mangled as if it had been broken into 50 times and didn't lock properly, the sheets were dirty, the towels were dirty, the countertop of the dresser no longer was attached to the dresser and would wobble like a teeter totter, the drawers of the dresser were beat up and didn't open and close properly, the coffee maker was visibly brown and filthy all over which made it unusable, there was urine on the bottom side of the toilet seat, the shower made a high pitched squeal while it was being used, common surfaces like the table and end table clearly hadn't been cleaned properly and various parts of the ceiling were sagging as if there had been a previous issue that hadn't been fully taken care of. I was overwhelmed at the number of things wrong as well as exhausted from the trip down so took care of the immediate issues that needed attention. My girlfriend began cleaning the floors and tables while I went down to the front desk to inform them of the filthy conditions. They gave me new sheets and towels and it seemed as if they get this all the time. They weren't shocked or apologetic that the conditions were horrible and actually were very stern that I needed to bring down the dirty sheets and towels immediately to place in a bin they left next to the elevator with everyone else's dirty sheets. I was putting on the new sheets when I noticed they were dirty as well and had to go back to the front desk again for the same treatment for another set of new sheets. I finally was able to get a set of sheets that were at least visibly clean on the beds and two clean towels out of the eight that we now had received. After cleaning and getting new sheets and towels, my girlfriend and I decided that given the response of the hotel staff to the towels and sheets that all of the other rooms were likely in very similar in condition, and it would be a waste of more vacation time to ask for a new room and proceed to clean that one as well and to risk upsetting hotel staff. Cardinal rules for travel for us are that you never mess with someone that handles your food or has access to your room and personal belongings. So, we decided to keep that room and the only thing it had going for it was that it was so disappointing that it kept us wanting to do anything and everything to stay out of it except to sleep and shower. The outdoor pool and area were pretty nice, but the indoor pool and hot tub clearly needed work. The tiles on the walls were chipping and had piles of chipped tile on the ground, the rubber that lines the tops of the pool and hot tub were visibly dirty and completely missing in some spots like they had been ripped off or picked at over time. The water park was at the resort next door and everything there seemed to be fine and the kids enjoyed it. It was said online that the resort was a no smoking establishment but every day we could smell people smoking cigarettes as well as marijuana which was very off putting and made our balcony unusable for periods at a time. On the night before we checked out, the ceiling in the bathroom began leaking and spilling water all over. I brought it to the attention of the man at the front desk who called maintenance on a walkie talkie and went back to what he was doing before saying "is there anything else" in a very condescending and dismissive tone to which I had to ask him what is going to be done about it. He then informed me they can just go in my room without me or I can be there. We were currently on our way out but knowing that they may need to cut holes in the ceiling and the mess that would create, we went back upstairs and moved our personal belongings as far from the leak as possible and waited for the maintenance guy. He was very nice and assessed the leak and stated that he wasn't able to get into the room above because they didn't answer the door. The end result was maintenance brought towels to clean up the water that had spilled and said that for now it has stopped. We never heard anything back from hotel management or the staff regarding this issue. In short, my family was able to have an enjoyable last-minute vacation as there is plenty to do in Myrtle Beach away from the horrible hotel we booked but would absolutely advise everyone to stay away from this place. It has the potential to be an incredible hotel but needs a major remodel and changes in policy to be somewhere we would ever stay again. Its very discouraging when a hotel advertises one thing online and you get something completely different in person and it seems that they rely on knowing most people wont cancel their non refundable rooms and go stay elsewhere due to the things I have mentioned in my review. Bad business to say the least and they really need to get their act together. Good luck to everyone looking for places in Myrtle Beach and I hope my review of this hotel has helped you make a decision you'll be happy with in the end.

This hotel needs a major upgrade. It is old and rundown. The room was not that clean, and linens that were supposedly laundered were soiled, along with the bedspreads and blankets that had bad stains. Walls are thin, so expect to hear your neighbors. The only plus was the location right on the beach. Considering that, there are a lot more other places with a good location worth staying in besides this hotel. Would not stay again.
