We arrived at 8:30pm 1/13/22 went to the front desk where the short white woman with a pony tail told us to wait because she needed to meet with her staff, NO! you need to take care of the customers. Finally another woman came out and helped us. When we got to the room where we did'nt have enough electrical outlets (we have sleep apnea and use machines for this) my wife called back down to the front desk and the same woman that should have checked us in the first place put her on hold, 4 TIMES! This woman smiles a lot but has deviouse smart mouth. We did'nt have a Do Not Disturb sign for the door, the mattress was aweful, bathroom was too small, the refrigerator was leaking inside which soaked our food. The AC/Fan did'nt work well. The next morning the renovation noise was horrendous and gave us headachs. My wife has epilepsy this stay did'nt help her at all. This is the worst resort visit stay ever. We will not be back. The only highpoint was Mary our waitress and our omelet for breakfast.

Life happens and we needed a quick get-a-way to recharge! Stayed there about ten years ago and very impressed with the renovations taking place! I just wish there were chairs in the bedroom! The staff was awesome. The cleanliness compared to last time was great! We do plan to return in warmer weather!

Sadly to say, my experience at the Landmark Hotel was not what I hoped it would be this year. I have been coming to the Landmark to the Red Hat Event hosted Queen Carrie Styles and daughter, Charlotte Walters for many years and had a wonderful experience staying at the Landmark. This year was a nightmare! The first night I had an intruder in my room. A large black rat. I could not believe my eyes. My roommate and I were scared out of my skin. I called to the desk and the maintenance man came up and saw for himself. He tried to hit at it, but it fled up the back of the refrigerator to the top and this went up the wall to the ceiling where he push up the ceiling square and disappeared. The maintenance man called Sherman who soon came and packed us up and moved us to another room. No sleep that night. We had settled into our new room, went to bed the next night, had no heat. During my sleep, I felt something stinging my back, I woke up the next morning, had bed bug bites all over my back. My roommate took pictures of my back. I could not believe what it looked like because, I could not see for myself. I was tormented the rest of my stay. I reported this incident to the manager. In the room where we were moved to, the AC Heating unit did not work and had to be replaced, no heat that night. Also the bed foundation collapsed and had to put in another one. Such a back experience for me the whole weekend. I did not get very much sleep. I took my pictures to the Desk manager to see and she could not believe what she was looking at. I did not come there with an ate up back from bed bugs. In my 75 yrs, I have never ever been bitten by bed bugs. If you would like to see pictures, I have them. If I return next to the Landmark, I hope it will be a much better experience as years before. The food, and the service was immaculate! The staff was very accommodating to my needs.

This month January 7th thur 9th was my 17th year coming to the Landmark for our RED HAT CONVENTION. Love the Landmark and always have. There were a few things that happened this past weekend that I wish had not happen but I couldn't do anything about it. The kitchen staff were AWESOME and David the chef his food was over the top. I was a little worried I admit when I heard he was new there. The food has always been excellent and I was sure praying for David to be as good, but he went above and beyond excellent. As I said before it was over the top!!! His staff were AWESOME as well, Mr. Banks was super great and very nice I couldn't have ask for a better manager. Jackie, Trell and the other guys were AWESOME as well. We were ask how is everything, can I get you anything? Everybody seam to go out of there way to make us feel truly welcome. I wish my mother could have been here to meet all the new staff. I hope they are all there next year! Kathy and Kelsey, I can't thank you ladies enough for all your help! Kathy you has always gone over and beyond to help us with whatever we ask,and I appreciate you so very much for being there for me. The business part of my convention was all new to me and I appreciate both of you ladies for your help and patients during the days I continued to call and email and bugging you! LOL 😆 🤣 😂 Last but not least I did miss my old friend Malcom he was always there to help us out. I pray he recovers from his sickness. See you all next year.
