The Gazebo Inn is one of the only remaining ORIGINAL, family owned and operated Mom & Pop OCEAN FRONT hotels left in Myrtle Beach. If you are looking for lazy rivers, expensive linens and room service, WE ARE NOT the place for you. If you are instead looking for clean, comfortable, family friendly "no frills" accommodations for an extremely LOW rate, the Gazebo Inn IS the place for you!!! The Gazebo Inn was built in the 1970's and still offers that fun, nostalgic kind of beach vacation that many of us grew up on. The view is fantastic, our pool and hot tub sit directly on the ocean front, most of our rooms have private balconies, all of our rooms have at least a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Kitchenettes are available in most room types for a minimal upcharge. We offer free WIFI, free onsite parking, snack/soda vending, guest laundry facilities, interior hallways for security, and direct beach access. Stay and see why most of our guests have been staying with us for generations.

Hotel's Favorite
Wanted an oceanfront view for an economical price and got it here. Older property but very clean and great location. Staff was very nice and basic room had mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Decent Wi-Fi and good A/C in the room. Swimming pool was crystal blue and clean. Good elevator too.

First let me start by saying that the ones that leave these negative reviews about how dirty the rooms are , microwave and fridge that do not work or how dirty the pool and hot tub are is as far from the truth as it can be. I have been staying there since 2005, and have never had an issue with any of the above. The staff has always been polite and friendly and goes out of their was to help Parking is kind of a problem sometimes but is well explained on their website, and is really not much of an issue. I watch the pool guy every morning checking the pool and making sure it is ready for the day. The management at the Gazebo Inn have made huge improvements sine they have taken over and I am sure they will continue to do so. The rates are as good as you are going to find anywhere in Myrtle Beach. I highly recommend giving this motel a try, and I will see you all next year.…

Absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Extremely rude staff, dirty, rundown rooms. Do yourself a favor and find a different hotel. I would give the Gazebo Inn a zero if I could. You only get one parking place per room that was not specified on the website when booking. The very rude lady at the front desk told us we could park the other car we had a mile down the road and pay for parking. Refrigerator, stove that don't work, and bathroom was filthy. I wouldn't let my dog swim in the pool it is so nasty.

Yes the prices are reasonable. The room however is not!! The door had to be reprogrammed as soon as we got there. It was full of mosquitoes. There were cracks all around the doors letting in hot air and I'm sure the mosquitoes. The door had to be slammed just to shut and lock. The balcony door would not shut unless it was locked. The bathroom door was fixed with beer bottle tops so it would latch when shut!! No covers on the receptacles. Stove is rusted and counter falling apart. Paid for an efficiency and it didn't even have silverware. Woke up to find roaches!!! Got locked out of the room again and had to stand outside the room and wait for someone to try and fix it. I ended up messing with the door for 10 minutes and finally got in it myself. Told the man that came to help about the roaches and mosquitoes and all he said was sorry about that. We ended up checking out early and they would not refund for what we didn't stay. Even called before booking to make sure all rooms had been remodeled and was told yes. I'd hate to see what it was before. Just spend a little more and stay somewhere else!!…

Disliked · Old building with uncomfortable beds, overpowering smell of artificial freshener, dark dank hallways, half done bathroom remodel. Staff was fine with me but very rude and unhelpful to other guests. One family was sent to their room which hadn’t been cleaned yet and were treated very rudely when they came back down to the desk to tell them. Another group of 3 women booked and paid for a room with two queen beds and were given a room with one bed. The staff put a mattress on the floor and told them rudely that there were no other rooms. We only stayed there for one night (flights had been changed and our condo was not available until the next day).

I love this place and have stayed many times in the past few years but Ive been trying to call and both phone numbers are not working and my email was kicked back. Have you closed? we have been to Gazebo Inn a few times and decided to get an oceanfront room in September. It was so peaceful that i didn't want to leave to go home and am already planning our next trip in June. The staff is helpful and nice, and the manager is super friendly.

I NEVER leave reviews on anything but this hotel reeks of mold, killed a good amount of roaches on my stay and the refrigerator had mold all the way down the side of it, had hairs on the inside of fridge and freezer. You can tell whoever owns it does not take pride in their business if they did it wouldn’t look or smell the way it does. I was so scared of the bugs I kept my bags zipped up and up on a shelf to keep from taking roaches back home with me. There has to be more mold than what was seen on the refrigerator because the mold smell hits you in the face as soon as you walk into the room. I attached pictures of my findings while being there….

I didn't need a fancy resort. All I needed was an Ocean view from balcony while I drank coffee, not a whole lot of people and noise,, clean with no bugd and a clean place to sleep and shower.The Gazebo inn was a good choice for all of the above and cheaper. I stayed ,2 nights with a friend in Surfside and 10 nights at Gazebo inn and when I had to leave, I didn't want to go home to all the stress I left behind but back to reality I go All the office staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and nice to everyone. If you have a problem, they do everything possible to fix it. I slept better than I have in awhile, bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was great but the people running the place made my stay very enjoyable . I'm actually going miss them all. Outdated yes, a little worm down, yes but so am I . LOL .I m 63 and I need an overhaul too. I would definitely stay there again and I would recommend to my friends. So if relaxation is your goal at the beach and you don't need all the Fancy smancy things like water parks, bars and restaurants, then stay at the Gazebo inn. By next year, it should be even better because they will be redoing all their rooms in September/October this year.So check them out .…
