Our requirements were CLEAN and beachfront and the Vancouver offered much more. We wanted to take our pup to the beach. Listen folks there is NO carpet. Big big bonus. So easy with Gary. Even after a fun day at the beach with him it was easy to clean up. There is also a hose to wash off paws and a small pet area for doing their business. It’s also very convenient to shopping and restaurants. All in all it suited our needs perfectly and the weather was perfect. Owner present on property and was very attentive to our wants and needs. I was a little worried about other reviews 1 referring to bugs of some kind. We had a good experience here it is right on the beach in a quiet area a few restaurants in walking distance. The property is dated but well looked after and very clean the staff was amazing. The owner is onsite and keeps everything running shipshape. We flew into town so had no car and was going get a Uber to our rental house the next morning as we checked out at 11 the manager let us keep our luggage in the office and we used the pool and ocean until we had to leave .The owner graciously volunteered to give us a ride to our rental property 1/2 hr from the hotel I would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a small clean well run motel it is old school Myrtle Beach at it finest!Date of stay: July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 23, 2023

I've taken my family numerous times over the last few years. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and safe. The pool is clean and you are right on the beach. South end of the strip so you can walk to the pier and Damon's to eat. You are also walking distance of banana boat ride and parasailing. Being a small motel, beach isn't crowded as much as larger hotels and resorts. Very friendly owner who will not tolerate loud unruly guests. Everyone was very friendly and very accommodating. I thought it was very clean. It was a good down home atmosphere. right on the beach. If we needed anything they were Johnny-on-the-spot. It's very reasonable rates compared to other hotels nearby. Dez and Donna 2023 trip.

Vancouver Motel was as advertised: very inexpensive ($66 with tax), directly on the beach, nice clean pool, very clean room with kitchenette. Bed clean and comfortable. But definitely lacking ( one coffee cup, no other cups or glasses). Phone didn’t work. TV took 1/2 hour to warm up and then wouldn’t work well. Night attendant nice but not able to work TV.

Always a nice place to stop monthly while traveling back and forth to florida although the electric and lights did not work between the beds on lower room also no hot water for a shower after having damage to the motel from the prior hurricane they have done a good job trying to recover. The weather this time was a bit chilly but always love this small family owned motel always nice people at the desk and staying there we’ll be back for sure

We don’t usually stay at small hotels but decided to give this one a try based on the reviews and being on a tight budget. This was our 3 year old granddaughter first beach trip and she was beyond excited. The family dog was with us as well. Upon checking into the room I must say it was really clean but I don’t believe they did updates in 2018. It would do for a couple of days. We immediately went down to the beach so we really wasn’t in the room until close to bedtime for the little one. Around 1am I noticed a bug on the bed beside her and then they started coming from everywhere… BEDBUGS!!! I immediately got my grand up and was packed within five minutes. The manager lived onsite and I immediately let him know we were leaving. Of course we couldn’t find another hotel and had to drive to my sister house arriving at 3am. The hotel gave me a full refund but was very reluctant to give me anything extra for the inconvenience. They eventually gave me $25 which didn’t even cover our gas after I refused a free night stay at a later date.…

This place was filthy!!! Mold and dirt throughout this room. My wife and I had multiple bed bug bites after a one night stay! I called to give them a heads up about the bed bug bites and they hung up on me. I would highly recommend not to stay here. The value isn’t worth the bite!!!

Staff was friendly work hard to accommodate everyone's need. Clean nice place to stay with trustful staff. Right on the beach in South Myrtle. Pool was cleaner than other higher priced places and this is perfect for a budget trip. Fridge, microwave, stove, oven, and clean public grill.

I'm disappointed to see negative reviews of this cute little motel. I've taken my family numerous times over the last few years. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and safe. The pool is clean and you are right on the beach. South end of the strip so you can walk to the pier and Damon's to eat. You are also walking distance of banana boat ride and parasailing. We were looking forward to staying here, it's a great location and we knew it was an older motel (that's why we booked it). We walked to our 2nd-floor room and found a guest sitting right by our door smoking. After just a few minutes in the room, we had to leave and found another place to stay. While the room was worn but clean, we noticed immediately the pungent disinfectant smell in the room, and then noticed it seemed to be for masking the reek of cigarette smoke that was on everything. When we left we noticed all the cigarette butts all over the parking lot. It seems to cater to smokers (chairs and ash disposal containers by most rooms) and dog owners (which we are, but not on this trip).

Absolutely AWFUL! Gross and extremely run down! Charged $10 for a wash rag became it was stained! Do not stay at this hotel! Pool chairs on top of each other. Washer and dryer outside covered in rust.
