We snagged an oceanfront site here off-season for only $33/night! We literally were across the dirt road to the dunes. Having the waves lull you to sleep was amazing. This campground is large so there is little space or privacy between neighbors. That usually is not my style but to have such close access to the beach I can overlook... More

We have stayed at Pirateland for over 25 years!!! Seen a lot of changes and updates over the years all good. We first started staying with our Kids and now with our Grand kids. We love the campground and have our on favorite spot. Our plan in a few years when we retire is to live at Pirateland!!!!!!!

We stayed at pirate land before and enjoyed it, so we booked a week there again in 2016. That was a Big mistake. This time the employee's were constantly harassing us and making rules up that didn't exist. They followed us around the whole time we were there. We have never been on a vacation where the resort staff followed... More

The staff at Pirateland Campground are kind and helpful. My family and I enjoy returning each year for a relaxing vacation. It's almost like going home. We enjoy the concrete campsites and the easy beach access.

I didn't go with high expectations after reading multiple negative reviews but when we booked we were assured that the indoor pool would be open the week we were there. Unfortunately, we had a fairly rainy week and the indoor pool was closed for repairs for the entire week we were there so we were very disappointed. One reason we... More

Everything was just as expected. They had friendly staff, plenty of stuff to do, close to a million things. This place is the biggest campground I've stayed at so there was a lot going on and it wasn't even peak season. But we didn't have any problems with neighbors, too much noise, etc. Kids had a BLAST at the water... More

This is the second year in a row to spend the whole month of September here. Office personnel are friendly. We asked to have someone take my boyfriend to our site before driving down with our RV. The employee also assisted us with getting our 44' 5th wheel backed-in to the lakeside site. Restrooms are cleaned each morning. Water pressure... More

We were at this camping ground late July this summer for a week. This is a nice location right on the beach. Mother Nature provided us with above average weather with lots of sun. We will planned to go back in the future. The only down side was with the above warm weather, there was too many jelly fish near... More

My family and I (my husband and our 3 kids) stayed in one of the campgrounds new cabins for 5 nights. The cabin was great for a family of 5, it had a queen size bed, twin bunk beds, and the couch turned into a bed. The cabin was clean and had the basic kitchen dishes, a coffee maker, can... More

camping experience had positives and negatives, facilities definitely in need of some upgrades. The customer service experience is what gets this a one star review. They just didn't take care of us and satisfy our needs.
