We drove over 8 hours with our camper to spend the week at Ocean Lakes Campground. It had been recommended by many people and family members. When we camp we are looking for a laid back, relaxing retreat. That is not what we felt we got. The cons outweighed the pros. First the cons; 1) We opted for express check-in,... More

When I first started staying at Ocean Lakes it was a nice laid back family campground where folks not only vacationed but many bought or built a permanent home. The parking permit was reasonable at $3.00 a day, leaving more cash for other things. The past few years I have watched the houses get bigger allowing the camp ground to... More

Site H31. Next door to bath house and near pool and short walk to beach. These were good things. Boys are 9, 10, 12 and too old for the "water park". They said it was lame. They loved the beach/ocean with their boogey boards, skim boards, surf boards, etc. Bath houses were huge and spotless. Cable worked great. WiFi was... More

We rented a 5 bedroom 3.5 bath home on stilts in the Ocean Lakes Family Campground for 6 adults and 4 children ages 6 1/2 - 22 months. The house was not cleaned to my standards when we arrived, but the office did send a person from the cleaning company to rectify the situation. (The previous week's occupants had paid... More

My family and I have been visiting Ocean Lakes for about 11 years now and both my wife and I went as children too. In the 11 years my family has been going, we average about 4 visits each year so we spend quite a bit of time there and have watched it grow quite a bit. This is my... More

I usually rent from owner, but this year we decided to rent through campground. The house was ok but amenities were lacking. All lights outside were not working, TV was outdated, beds were broken and the house was not clean. There were fruit loops under the beds, dust was an inch thick under couch, chair in sitting area was broken,... More

We rented a house inside this campground. The owner was very helpful throughout the whole process. Helped me get my parking passes so I could bypass the checkin line. That saved us a huge amount of time. House was clean and very well decorated and supplied with essentials. This campground has it all so you don't even have to leave... More

Yes everything is packed here, but what isn't. The saying goes if it's packed with a wait it's probably worth waiting for. Staff was friendly, and the Sandy mart had everything we forgot to bring. Only issue was the flow of traffic into the campground. I would suggest better flow, and separate lanes for check ins and returns and better... More

WE decided to take the camper and go to Ocean Lakes Family Campground. We stayed for 7 days. We had a wonderful time. This place is a city of it's own. You never have to leave to the campground unless you want to. They have their own laundry, grocery store, gift shop, and anything else you can think of. They... More

We have been staying at Ocean Lakes for 15+ years. We've rented a variety of houses, from spectacular 5 bed room houses on stilts to dumps. Be careful if you are renting, check the reviews and pictures. We have camped here for years also. The sites are all pull through and the majority are concrete and level. They are all... More
