I stayed here for a conference. I had a nice corner room so I was able to see the beach. I didn't love it as a conference venue as I felt it was pretty pricey. That being said, it's a nice property, well maintained, and...More
What can I say about the Marriott grand dunes? It was amazing. Best weekend ever. The pool was beautiful. The view was beautiful. My room was nice. The staff is super super friendly. Food was delicious. A tad overpriced but delicious. Their specialty drinks were...More
We were here for a conference and could not have been more pleased with our stay. We had a partial oceanfront balcony (the “skinny side” faced the ocean) with two queen beds. The room was comfortable and housekeeping was excellent.

We stayed for 8 days and left the resort area once to go to barefoot landing. There is a pharmacy, nice restaurant, morning breakfast place, and a Publix grocery store all within 1 mile of the resort. So if you are okay with walking then you would be fine without renting a car. Main attractions like broadway at the beach, carolina opry, and other touristy stuff are not within walking distance. If you are one of those people that needs the ability to have autonomy on a moments notice (like myself) then you should rent the car.
