This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. - THERE IS NO STAFF. We had to wait an hour in the cold to check in, because you have to call "the agent on duty". He didn't pick up the phone, and when he did it took him 20 minutes to arrive. - HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS OUTSIDE OUR ROOMS. Despite the hotel being almost empty we were put in a dark hallway, with barrels of chemicals DIRECTLY OUTSIDE OUR DOOR. - DIRTY LAUNDRY OUTSIDE OUR ROOMS. There was also a huge pile of dirty laundry outside our door. - WIFI NOT WORKING. One of the rooms didn't have working wifi. - NO TOILET PAPER. One of the rooms had no toiletries of any kind - no soap, no shampoo, and absolutely zero toilet paper. - NO TV REMOTE. One room had no remote and the TV was not useable. - THEY DON'T CARE. My complaints have been ignored and I have been unable to get my money back. DO NOT STAY HERE. They don't care about this property, and will just take your money.…
Buyer beware! Place is ran by thieves and scam artist!!! Especially if you book through an online service. I showed up after a long drive and a 12 hour work day. Just wanted to check in, well there was the problem. The desk staff swore up and down they didn't have a reservation for me. Even after I showed them a receipt from their office, a confirmation email from their company, my confirmation through Expedia, my itenerary through Expedia. Their response was still they couldn't find my reservation. Also showed them where they charged my credit card. Still swore they didn't have a reservation for me. Well long story short no refund after multiple attempted to resolve this matter, because of their "strict policy against refunds...". (I am not sure how a policy written by a bunch of scam artist is binding...but hey) Any way I warn anyone looking to stay here to not waste the their money. Because once you pay them you will never see that money a again and there is a real chance they will not provide you with the service you paid your hard earned money for. This place is a horrible and the owners are thieves and scam artist!…
Older clean motel. Great staff. Off-season, some rooms have a great ocean view. Right across from the beach. Perfect for solo and couples. Basic affordable relaxing rooms. Will be back again. Privacy respected
Do not stay here. Where to begin.. Solo female traveler. I haven’t stayed in the southern end of Myrtle Beach for years and was shocked at how sketchy the area has become. My first clue when trying to enter the lobby at 6:00pm, was that all the doors were locked. I didn’t understand why my Uber driver was reluctant to leave me alone there. Now I know why. Front desk person finally unlocked a door and then locked it behind me. Not the most welcoming person. The room.. not AT ALL like the pics. A couple things may have been updated or painted, but it’s still in disrepair. My door had a large opening around it like it wasn’t hung right. Tricky to actually get it to lock. The door to the balcony was the same way. Not exactly comforting when you’re traveling alone. No hot water in the bathroom faucet. Handle on shower was loose, so hard to regulate temp. There was a wet spot on carpet (found it by stepping on in my socks) and it reeked of urine. I walked 5 min to the Walmart Market ONE time. It felt so unsafe with two separate cars with blacked out windows stopping along side me and honking. Outside of hotel, all you could smell was weed. To each his own, but it shouldn’t impose on others. The front desk person on the first day tried to charge me twice for the stay. I had already paid in full via a third party app. Pointed it out to the next front desk person the second day, she corrected it and it showed as a credit on my card. The next morning I looked at my account again and the charge was back on!! I inquired again, and was told that it was “pending” and would not be charged again. I have to keep checking because I have no reason to trust at this point. I checked out a day early because it was so miserable. Although the beds & linens were pretty decent, between the smells and the noise outside (it’s a very noisy area with loud music coming from cars and the pool is supposed to be closed at 10, but people were yelling and screaming at midnight) made it very hard to sleep. All of this made it impossible to just sit on the balcony and relax. I booked this hotel based on reviews as always, but I seriously have to question who wrote them. Don’t waste your money or vacation time on this place.…
here is my honest and keeping it real review: 1. yeah it was like kinda gross, but not too bad considering the price 2. the staff was super nice and personable 3. the pool was closed in conclusion, i would not stay here again because im picky about the cleanliness of places, but if you dont mind staying somewhere a little rough around the edges, for a great price- waikiki is the spot for you.
This place is horrible. My daughters and I stayed here for 4 days housekeeping didn’t clean are room not one time. Went to the office to request they come and never showed up.I had to beg for towels after so long I went to Walmart and brought my own. The check in was terrible the room was ready at 330 and they wanted me to pay a extra $25 for a early checkin which the check in was at 4pm..The employees there look like they will come in your room and still everything valuable. The pool is dirty and the hallways smell like strange urine. I wish I could of got my refund back and stayed somewhere else. Place is HORRIBLE!
Renovated for true! Clean! Awesome staff. Great use of space. Perfect location. New beds!! No hurting backs!! Off road parking. Private balconies. Hot tub, kiddie pool , 8ft deep pool! Market Will be returning.
This motel has recently been completely redone and it was an absolute blast staying there. The breezeway to the room was a tad dirty but the lobby, rooms and pool area were great. Room was clean, tastefully redone, plenty of modern amenities, beautiful bathroom, ice cold AC, good wifi. There is a nice outdoor pool in the courtyard as well as a covered hot tub. Check in at 4PM was a breeze. Plenty of parking is available around the property. A great rate for June and a good overall stay in a comfortable and clean motel with not a whole lot of frills, but with all of the necessities.
Our room was on the ground floor which was ok. However upon entering the room, it was very tiny. The bathroom shower and floor were filthy! I can't even guess at the last time it was cleaned. The water did not drain from the shower. The drain was all corroded with rust. We had to wear sandals whenever in the bathroom. The sink was too small and not enough towels provided. There were bugs in the room as well. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. The pool was dirty as well. Save your money and stay somewhere else!!!!!
We came to Waikiki Village motel excited to have a nice family stay. Did not go as planned. First of all, the smell of marijuana was all you got when you walked out into the balcony area. The room wasn’t cleaned very well— in fact there were areas of stickiness all throughout the carpet. The sink faucet was loose and wobbly. We had to sanitize everything ourselves. We were rationed towels and washcloths and when we requested more (on day 3), we were given enough for only 3 of us because that’s ‘all they had’. We didn’t get the option to have daily maid service for our room. The website shows a picture of a nice pool center of the property that would’ve been perfect for our children. Our first day we found out that the pool hadn’t had a health dept inspection so it wasn’t open yet— the website made NO MENTION of this caveat and had it, we would’ve chosen another place to stay. We even considered canceling our stay but we’re not able to find any other vacancies. Extremely disappointing.…
