I thoroughly enjoyed the experience at the Charleston Harbor Resort. The view is spectacular as the pools offer a great view of the marina and Charleston Harbor. The facility was clean and the staff was friendly. Make sure you stop by the Tiki Bar and say hello to Kat and Miranda. It was so nice being greeted with a smile and the service was terrific. They remembered who I was each day and they were both so eager to say hello and mix my favorite cocktails. People make a huge difference in the overall experience. I will certainly return to enjoy a beautiful place with a terrific staff. Put this place on your list of destinations

I went to get my first massage on my honeymoon, Tamara made me more than comfortable at every point. I will return to get another one from this consummate professional! As uncomfortable as I was in the beginning she went through and asked me all the right questions to put me at ease! 5/5, 10/10, wish I could rate her higher!!

This place is beautiful and super clean! The restaurants on site are fabulous and we truly did not even need to leave the property. I was disappointed that couples massages were not offered at the spa and no room service due to Covid. We had an alarming experience that was reported. On 2 occasions, we had hotel staff enter our room without authorization. The 1st time was about noon one day and we were resting after having a big brunch. We did hear a knock and then suddenly our door opened. Luckily, my husband jumped up quickly when he heard the knock and met the staff member just inside our doorway. The staff member apologized and said he must have the wrong room and thought we had checked out. The 2nd time, we were both standing just inside the bathroom, undressed mind you, when I heard and visibly saw our hotel room door open and the suddenly close. I peeked outside using the peephole and saw a female staff member walking away. This time, there was no knock, nothing. This is extremely scary to know that hotel staff can and obviously will enter your room at any given time and that is not ok. I reported the matter to the front desk who stated she would be in touch with management and then get back to me. But, that didn’t happen. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway. The pool is lovely and walking around the marina at night was our favorite.

We were impressed with the care taken to offer a relaxing retreat to guests while maintaining quarantine safety standards to keep quests safe/healthy. My husband and I enjoyed the spa treatments. Joe and Meghan were our massage therapists.

We may have caught the hotel on a bad day or whatever. We arrived in town early after Labor Day and they said the room wasn't ready (1pm) and that they would let us know. Eventually around 6/7pm, I called back and they said that they tried to call but the call went straight to voice mail, yet they didn't leave the voice mail - but the room was ready. Disappointing. Once we got to the hotel and checked in, the first room we were assigned had no air. It was a cool day in Charleston, so at 9pm it was only 78 inside the room. Too hot for us. Management moved us to a room down the hall that did appear to have air. During the following day, we began to hear a semi-faint howling noise while inside the room. We attributed initially to a baby toy in adjacent room (mistake). Once we got back in the room and were heading to sleep, we realized the noise apparently was a howling/rattling coming from the roof (like a hvac unit or plumbing vent rattling) and it kept us up all evening. The pool appeared dirty as well during our stay. Overall the property appears super nice visually, but we have tried to make it our "new getaway" twice this summer and it has failed both times. But it is convenient to downtown and MP. I let management know about these complaints and they responded by comp'ing an evening.
