Charming historic building in a nice neighborhood in Mount Pleasant with easy access to the sights in Charleston. We had a cozy suite on the top floor that was clean and nicely decorated with period furniture and fully stocked with amenities. However, no common lounge space or exercise facilities, though there is a gym across the street available with a... More

Really talented chef in this low key upscale restaurant. Away from the tourist insanity of Charleston but with all the sophisticated culinary skills you expect in that foodie paradise. Crab cakes incredible. Gnocchi wonderful. Dessert a caloric epiphany. Service first class. Highly recommended.

This was a small mansion that was converted to a hotel/Inn. in a very fine neighborhood in Mt Pleasant. Old Village Inn is not far from Charleston, in a charming neighborhood. The Inn has a wonderful first class restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and take guests back in time. In total I have stayed at the Inn on 3 different... More

With Charleston, SC being a regular draw although a 10 hour drive, upon the recommendation of friends we elected to try The Old Village Post House Inn for our first nights dinner. With reservation in hand (smart phone) we found our way to the restaurant driving through the quaint old streets of Mt. Pleasant. An old post office and situated... More

Mount Pleasant is a lovely area, not far from Charleston, with fine old houses, a nice row of village shops, and a wonderful old style drugstore with soda fountain/snack bar that serves the best milkshakes I've ever had -- an authentic period piece. The Old Village Post House Inn is a reasonably comfortable (though see bed below) B and B... More

This was a small mansion that was converted to a hotel/Inn. in a very fine neighborhood in Mt Pleasant. This is definitely an old school place in an old school neighborhood that has some historical houses that dated back to late 1800s. This is a first class 5 star dinning place by exc. chef Frank Lee. Grouper n scallop dinners... More

My wife and I spend a week in the Carolinas in March, coming down from Ohio to enjoy some warmer weather. We chose the Old Village Post House Inn because of great reviews and a desire to find lesser-known gems instead of the hustle and bustle of larger hotels. We were not disappointed. The Post House is nestled in a... More

This was our 4th Anniversary. A surprise for my husband. It ended up to be a special evening. A bike ride, dinner for two in their dinning room and then a walk through the beautiful streets in old village. Very romantic. Then finally, a night cap at the bar. I would recommend this Inn. Beautiful place, friendly people, great food...... More

We stayed 3 nights on a Bed and Breakfast deal. The room was very comfortable but the buffet breakfasts were rather shambolic to say the least. The first morning was not too bad but thereafter we had to continually go and find someone to replenish the buffet especially the hot food. This became especially tiresome as there appeared to be... An excellent option to staying in center of Charleston. Very comfortable accommodations, great breakfast, easy parking and friendly service. An especially available and affordable alternative to Charleston in peak season. Would stay there again on next visit.
