We have stayed here many times and will continue to. The park is nice, quiet and spacious. Manager is the worse. We booked 4 nights and then added an additional nite the day before we were scheduled to leave. They charged us a premium as though we were only booking one night When we asked why they said the rate was computer generated, the model is a dynamic pricing model and occupancy was a factor. The park is at 30% at the most but probably closer to 20%. She also stated that 5 parks near Longs all do the same thing. How would she know that? Collusion, Price fixing? The $30 add is not the issue but the unethical business practice is. Beware when dealing with the office. Don’t care about the customer, just your money

Stayed here for the first time for 5 days. We do an annual camping trip with two of our grandkids, 7 and 10 this year. The previous two years we stayed at James Island County Park in Charleston, SC, which is an awesome campground. We wanted to do something different and decided to try Willow Tree. We figured this would be a “one and done” trip. However, we already have it booked for next year as the grandkids loved it and prefer it over James Island. So far this is the nicest campground we have stayed at in South Carolina. For the most part we stay in State Parks. A lot of private campgrounds pack you in like sardines, not here. The staff we dealt with were good. The campground is very well maintained. The bathhouse has a private entrance to each unit which is lockable and includes a nice sink/toilet area and a shower. All roads and sites are paved and have concrete patio areas. We did have to do some leveling. We needed 3 sewer hoses at our site and thankfully as an afterthought I grabbed an extra one when packing. This is a resort style place. It is pricey. However, that price includes a lot. There are no extra charges for the Splash Zone, Pool or Game Room. They do charge rental for boats and stuff to do on the lake. At James Island we would do the water park once. Here we did the Splash Zone every day and usually twice a day as there is no additional charge. The lake was surprisingly clear. Even with all the activity at the Splash Zone fish were coming up close, including a couple decent size catfish. The store has a sizable DVD collection where you can borrow the DVDs at no charge. They also had a collection of books you could borrow. There is plenty of areas for bike riding or golf cart roaming. A lot of golf cart activity here but nothing crazy. The only time we were almost run over by a golf cart was by employees! WiFi is typical of camping places, not reliable. The location of Willow Tree is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There is a Food Lion grocery store very close by. Willow Tree recommends Cherry Grove if you want to go to the beach, personally I would choose Sunset Beach, NC which is about a 30-minute drive. You are also close to Myrtle Beach should you want to do some tourist trap type stuff. Little River has some nice restaurants as well as Calabash, NC. Calabash is known for its seafood, keep in mind Calabash style is fried and some of the restaurants are just serving fried frozen stuff, not much better than cheap frozen stuff at the grocery. In Calabash I would recommend Captain Nance’s or Oyster Rock, stay away from Dockside. Highly recommend. They do have cottages as well and a few very nice RV buddy sites.

Great Campground, we went with our friends. Sites are very big and the campground is very quiet. The lake and obstacle course were really fun, staff at lake was very friendly. Pool was really nice. Did some fishing and rented a golf cart to cruise around.

Willow Tree is by far the best RV parks we have stayed in. The sites are large, and all have concrete pads along with concrete patios. The Wi-Fi is very strong throughout the RV park. The site we stayed at was a back into the lake. A very beautiful view from the site. We are so looking forward to visiting again soon.

The sites are large, level, & have a nice concrete patio. They are staggered so you are not right on top of your neighbors. The grounds are wonderfully landscaped, bathhouses are large & clean. The dog park is spacious, overlooking the pond.

If I could have given a higher rating, I would have. This is truly an RV Resort. Check in was fast and easy. One of the resort staff escorted us to our site and got out of the golf cart to welcome us and ask if everything was ok! You'll find long, level paved sites, a concrete patio with a picnic table, charcoal grill, fire ring, and pristine landscaping between each site. Every area of the property is immaculate, inside and outside. There is a beautiful pool, and a huge lake to swim and kayak in. They have food trucks that park at the front of the resort and a Mr. Softee ice cream truck that drives thru the resort... yum! The camp store has lots of items to choose from too! I cannot think of one thing I would change. This place exceeded our expectations! If you are looking for a beautiful RV Resort , this is it!

We have this a try without knowing anyone who has stayed here and what a place! It’s a hidden gem for sure. By far the cleanest campground we have ever stayed at. Spots are so spacious both in length and width. The lake is just so pretty and clean. My kids have never swam in a lake before and they didn’t want to leave. It really is a peaceful, relaxing place. If you are looking for a quieter place, away from the hustle bustle you will not be disappointed. Only challenge was the WiFi but it really is so nice. We will be back for sure.
