We stayed here while exploring Congaree N.P. and the surrounding areas. A very nice well-kept campground. The site was good for our RV, and the bathrooms were great. Stayed for three nights, and it was perfect for our needs. However, if traveling with kids just be aware that there are no extra amenities. The staff was great. If going to Congaree or Columbia this is a great little spot to set up camp in

OUR BIKES WERE STOLEN off the back of our motorhome. We had a Thule bike carrier and 3 extra locks, they cut everything, stole our bikes and our carrier was ruined. Our neighbor in the next site said they had their bikes stolen last year here, and when they stay here they leave them inside their motorhome overnight. There is a huge sign when you check in that they are not responsible for thefts or vandalism. Obviously this is a reoccurring problem here, the office said there is nothing they could do. If they know there’s a problem, why don’t they ramp up security or post patrols? They could even put a gate that you’d need a combination to get into the campground with a security camera to record all incoming and outgoing vehicles.

Spacious, grassy sites with decent picnic tables and SUPER clean bathrooms. Many full time spaces and almost every one very well kept. We were not here for the Saturday Flea Market but thought it sounded like fun.

Room Tip: So ridiculous that Trip Advisor calls RV parks "hotels"! Site B01 had too much traffic.

Very nice campground and well kept. Sites are grassy and plenty of space. This is definitely a short stay campground not a weekend camping etc as there is nothing to do. Mostly seasonal sites with the center open for passing by campers. I would definitely recommend if you need a short stay. Office is only open till 5 pm.

Check in went well. Sites plenty long and roomy side to side. There is a side entrance/exit to the park on Oak street that makes getting in and out easy. Plenty of places to walk the dogs and placed to deposit poop bags. We have no complaints.

We chose the Barnyard as a stop over on our way to Ashville NC. We were totally surprised at how nice this park was. I guess it was the name "Barnyard"! My mom always said , " It's not the name but what is behind the name". We found a glistening pond, lots of trees, large 80' sites, and well groomed grass beside all of the sites, and Wonderful staff. Our site was gravel with a concrete patio. We have a 45' Tuscany Motor Home and pull a Tahoe behind. We did need to unhook the Tahoe in order to make the turn into our very large site but that was OK. I was especially ok with unhooking, because of reviews from another Reviewer, that the best restaurant (which is only 0.7 tenths away) was the 'Lizard'stf Thicket". Because we are "True Foodies" we were ready for good Southern Cooking and were not disappointed. We will certainly come again to the "Barnyard" and maybe try to come on a weekend for the flea market.

Dog poop everywhere! Every time we walk outside there is a new pile and they won’t send someone down to clean it up! They have a ten year rule but most campers look like they have been here since the beginning of time and are on blocks and ran down. Stay in a Walmart parking lot first! Shower walls don’t ever get wiped down and the bathrooms have not ventilation so it’s awful! Poorly managed and the management and staff are very rude!

Large park of 130 sites. Majority pull through. Easy to navigate. Lots of space between sites. Utilities good. Internet good. We did not use their cable. Sand/gravel pads. Ours was very out of level. Some grass between sites. Lots of sand got tracked into the coach. Picnic table was in bad shape. The camp is full which is a good sign. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Motorhome.

This parks is always nice-clean, little shade and easy in and out. Our 36 ft motor home and Jeep had plenty of space! While there I had issue with package and Katherine was nice enough to help with resolving the issue-thank you for great attitude. Will be back again.
