Interesting place to overnight stop. The rates were low. They have all pull throughs long enough that we didn't have to unhook the truck. It sits behind the Barnyard Flea Market. They were paving, so it was noisy. Sites are fairly large with trees in between most sites. No pool or much to do. Nothing for kids to do. But we thought it was a nice place to stay for one night.
This is a nice RV Park with many pull-thru sites. Not a lot of amenities but nice for a large class A. I would recommend eating at the Lizard Thicket restaurant abouta mile from the RV Park. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Large older park convenient to a variety of Lexington/Columbia activities. Dated facilities; pretty well maintained. Relatively level unpaved sites. Good cable/wifi services. Next to a large flea market (closed during our stay). Pleasant office staff. Note: Not a lot of RV park options in area; park was full for our three night stay.
Friendly, clean RV Park for safe stop-over while travelling to Florida. Reasonably priced stay, friendly receptionist to greet us. Supermarket very close, and Chinese takeaway also close. Approximately 5 hours from the Florida border to the South, and 10 hours to Cincinnati to the North.
We previously lived in Lexington for five years and drove by the flea market and RV park many times but never thought of it as a good place to camp because it was "in the middle of the city". Well, having moved away we return to Lexington a few times a year to visit friends. We had been camping at a nearby state park, but we have upgraqded to a 43' coach and no longer fit in those sites. Barnyard has plenty of sites for larger camping units. We were surprised to find this is a little hidden gem in Lexington. Nicely laid out campground and easy to get around in even in a larger coach. Each site has water, electric, sewer and cable TV (we didn't use the cable). For the sites close to the office there is free WiFi, but while we were there workers were locating underground utilities so that a larger WiFi system could be installed. Even in the city we did not hear a lot of road noise and we even extended into the weekend to check out the flea market next door. The perimeter of the park as well as the back area of the park has "monthly" sites which looking at them many are there for the long term. This caused no problems for us and really didn't detract from our enjoyment of the campground. At check in and the couple of times I stopped by the office the staff was always friendly and very helpful!! This is now our go to place to stay in Lexington.…
