We spent a celebratory weekend here for my 50th birthday and were impressed. We stayed in the East room and it was beautiful and we had nice breakfast options in our room for convenience. The view of the mountains/horses from our patio was unbeaten. Christian gave us amazing customer service with special notes in our room and helped us figure out the area. We had the unfortunate issue of having the water go out so we had some time with no water, but Christian kept us informed and did all that he could. I wasn't able to get a shower before leaving though. LOL. I ended up leaving my toothbrush charger there and he popped it in the mail for me. Thank God.

Hubby and I spent a cute little romantic evening in the springhouse cottage. When we drove up, management was there to greet us and get us checked in. Before heading to the cottage we enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine on the terrace which overlooked the property. The staff was so professional and accommodating. Whatever our hearts desired was offered. The fields were so manicured and the blue ridge mountains really framed the view like a painting. The cottage entrance door welcomed us by last name, and there was a thoughtful message to us (again, by name) laying on the bed (surrounded by rose petals!!!) briefly describing the background of the property. Our cottage was absolutely spotless. The decor was so adorable and every little detail struck a perfect balance between thoughtful elegance and a sense of freshness. The private deck and hot tub were a perfect touch. Hot tub was super clean and in perfect condition. Though there isn’t a kitchen on site, We easily grabbed dinner to-go from a local pub/bar about 10 minutes down the road. If you’re looking for a nice quiet getaway with someone special, I definitely recommend the Red Horse Inn!

We absolutely love the Red Horse Inn Property. We spent the first night of our honeymoon there and one previous anniversary. This was our third visit. The views don't disappoint with the rolling hills and mountains! My husband and I brought our supper and ate it on the terrace while watching a beautiful pink sunset. It was definitely one of the best sunsets I have seen! It was also a bonus to be warmed by a beautiful stone glass fire pit while outside on a chilly night! The Croft room was absolutely beautiful. We definitely loved the fire place and relaxing jet tubs. I don't prefer continental breakfast, but I did know that a continental breakfast was going to be provided. Coffee and tea were provided with a Keurig. We love the history of this place, remembering meeting Mary and Roger, who built up this property with hard work and love! They were very personable. I remember Roger saying that marriage takes work! He was right! On this visit, we met their son, Christian, the current owner, who greeted us as Roger did on our two previous stays. He was very kind, and we enjoyed meeting him. We can see that he is adding his own love and hard work to the property with some beautiful renovations that he has made!
