There are two cottages furnished with antiques and oriental rugs. Each cottage contains a bedroom with queen sized bed, livingroom, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, bathroom with whirlpool tub. Laurel has a double hide-a-bed for that extra person. Dogs are always welcome at no extra charge. We provide dog bowls, beds and biscuits. The guests are in the middle of the farm and will hopefully experience the same joy that we do living on a horse farm and watching the beautiful sunsets.

My wife and I were celebrating our 25 th anniversary and came all the way up from Puerto Montt, Chile, to Punta Cana for a week, and then visit our cousins in Georgia and niece in Landrum, SC. My cousin Scott was in charge to find a place to spend the night before leaving to visit Biltmore state the next day. He described it as a "cabaña en el campo" (countryside cabin). The picture in my mind was a typical rustic, simple facility, just fine to sleep, have breakfast and leave the next day. For our big surprise, we found a fancy place in the middle of a countryside paradise. Everything we saw around, animals, pastures, fences, barn, houses, seemed to have been meticously clean and tidy. The room interior was a cozy antique style (crystal teardrop lamp in the bathroom? My God!). Quite fancy for a regular farm, but in this case it was not at odds with the landscape. The kitchen was well equipped and heating worked fine. Barbara, the owner, assists you personally, and she is so friendly and talkative. The only downside is that the price is not a bargain. You should pay for luxury after all. The breakfast however could be a little more provided. e.g. I missed ham, regular bread, and fruit. If the budget were not an obstacle, I surely would like to come back and stay longer.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your visit. Thank you for your lovely description of our farm. Our prices are far less than other cottages in our area. I don't know if your cousin explained that Laurel is only $169.00 per night and Ladybug is $189.00 per night with a two night minimum. The price is $250.00 when the stay is only for one night as you did. There are no add on fees at all, the prices are as stated on our website and of course our DOGIE GUESTS STAY FREE .I'm sure Rosie your cousin's little Boston Terrier told you that was the best part for her. Guests find an assortment of coffees, teas, milk in the kitchen and colored fresh eggs from our hens. There are also baked goods from a local bakery as well as a complimentary bottle of the wine of your choice.. It was so much fun for us to have a guests all the way from Chile. We really enjoyed your visit !

My husband and I arrived for a short 3 day visit. We were greeted by our very warm host, Barbara who showed us around. The cottages are gorgeous surrounded by sweeping green pastures and trees. I know that this place welcomes dogs of all sizes, we chose to leave ours home this time. Each cottage is well furnished with family antiques and the kitchen is stocked with equipment should you choose to cook your meals. We enjoyed farm fresh eggs and delicious breads. We enjoyed watching the horses, lightning bugs, and wild turkeys. We left behind a new friend, we feel we’ve know forever. Colleen D.

Great farm, elegant guest house, great people, and wonderful views. Ladybug cottage was more than comfortable and the porch offered great views of the fields, woods, horses, deer, turkey, and lightening bugs. We felt extremely welcomed in this pleasant small farm. Our young energetic large puppy was made to feel more than at home - she loved it. The Stephens have put a lot of thought and good taste into creating a wonderful setting. Very much appreciated with all the hospitable touches. The area is quite nice with Landrum, Tryon, and Foothills Equestrian and Nature Center very nearby, as well as easy to reach from Highway 26 and points north and south.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a kind review. We really enjoyed having you as guests. Wasabi was a delight and reminded us of the Great Pyrenees that was once a member of our family.

We'll be talking about this for a long, long time! Beautiful and peaceful surroundings with a wonderful hostess...turned a business trip into a luxury weekend that my husband and I (and dog) could enjoy together. Thank you, Barbara! You've thought of every detail and your knowledge of the area was priceless.
