Overall Kiawah Island resort itself does a great job. The one unfinished task that causes great stress and frustration is the bike trail system. There is a lovely system of scenic paved and often tree lined bike paths. Bike rental shops offer sturdy reliable bikes with helmets, baskets, baby seats, etc. for visitors. Many bike parking areas are conveniently located... More

We stayed in Seascape # 418. It had the potential of being a very nice stay. This unit is a two bedroom condo, full kitchen, dining room and two baths. It also had a very nice balcony. This unit also has a washer and dryer. Unfortunately, this unit has not been updated in I don't know how long. My wife... More

Beach, pools, golf, and tennis in an uncrowded natural environment while staying in a well appointed private home located just a quick walk to the beach and a short bike ride to everything else (golf courses excepted). Dining options galore or convenient grocery shopping for meals "at home". Activities and entertainment abound for children and adults of all ages. Our... More

We have been coming to Kiawah off and on since the late 1980s. We have stayed in any number of villas and one home over the years. We have stayed in villas operated by individual owners and those managed by Kiawah Island Resort. This may be our last visit to Kiawah. We checked in yesterday afternoon. Very soon after arriving... This was my third stay at the Island but my first time renting a villa through the resort. The island is one of my favorite places to vacation. I rented a one bedroom resort level villa in the tennis court section. Living Accommodations- Overall the villa we rented 4714 tennis court was unsatisfactory. This was a resort villa (the lowest... Kiawah has done an incredible jog of maintaining a beautiful natural environment, with outstanding, modern facilities. Everything feels high end without feeling pretentious. We had outstanding accommodations in the Duneside Villas. The beach and bike trails are some of the nicest we have ever enjoyed. A surreal experience.

My wife and I spent four glorious days in Kiawah. We played 3 rounds of golf there, including the infamous Ocean Course, We had recently played Trump National Palos Verdes, which was 18 holes of Ocean View Golf perched on the cliffs above the Pacific. The Ocean course is 18 holes of Ocean View golf right on the beach on... More

My wife, daughters age 31 and 29, and I stayed a week in the Windswept Villas with an ocean view. The location and accommodations were excellent. Every morning we had 3-4 young male deer in the dunes behind our unit, and every morning we saw 2-4 dolphins swimming along the beach. The overall beauty, serene, and non-commercialism of the island... More

My wife and I spent a week in a unit in the Windswept villas. The location was excellent - close to the beach and close to Night Heron Park and pool. We hit a week with great weather. We took advantage of both the beach and the pool. We are not golfers but still find a lot to do. The... More

Maybe this was an off week for resort. Have been coming here for almost 20 years and found the service across the board to be poor.
