Just got back from 3 days/2 nights at Assiniboine Lodge. We booked this trip as a birthday gift for my wife. Forget what everyone says...it's even better than that. We flew in by helicopter from Canmore. Just to get there you fly through incredible scenery but what awaits is even more incredible once you arrive at the lodge. Nestled in...

It is an amazing place. Stayed only two nights but wanted more. The views just kept on coming, the flora and fauna are everywhere. The guides were informative and took you off the beaten track. The food was exceptional. Would go back again and again

Truly one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Couple this with some fascinating history, great food and staff that genuinely want you to have the best trip ever and it becomes hard to beat. If you are on a budget consider hiking in and camping or staying in the Naiset cabins (also managed by the lodge) Highly recommended...

We stayed in the lodge for four days in July and it was amazing. Three things stand out. 1. Claude who runs the lodge is a man of genius. A benevolent ruler of his mountain kingdom. Be aware you are going somewhere special and act accordingly. 2. The food is amazing. The best we had in Canada. 3. As the...

Visited last weekend and the views are spectacular! Dinner was good but the breakfast was the mist disappointing thing I have ever seen. The money we paid for this excursion and we were presented with half cooked hard boiled eggs that we had to peel. We expected a 5 star dining experience and were presented a 1 star breakfast and...

If you are into back country skiing or snowshoeing or just walking in high altitude, this is a place for you. Located on the borders between Alberta and British Columbia, in the shadow of Mt. Assiniboine (12,000feet - so called Matterhorn of the Rockies) is Mt. Assiniboine Lodge. Yes, you are at a high altitude, but the surrounding mountains, back...

I have been going up to the Assinaboine area since 1967.... As a family we used to stay with Lizzie Rummel in her rustic camp on the shores of Sunburst Lake. Lizzie has been gone for years now but I still make the trip into Assinaboine as often as I can. In August of 2013, my sister and I took...

you can access the lodge by helicopter as I did, or ski, or hike in. once there the vistas are spectacular. A lake framed by Assiniboine mountain is the background to endless day hikes led by knowledgeable guides, where the evedence of man is only evident by the lodge it's self. Well maintained cabins, tent sites, sauna, dinning hall, and...

Last winter my wife and I booked several days at Assiniboine Lodge and it was amazing. Our hosts, Claude, Annick, Andre, and the rest of the staff took care of all our needs, and more. One of the staff even loaned my wife their winter boots so she could go snowshoeing instead of skiing that day. During part of our...
