My first stay at the new Sweetgrass Inn and I cannot wait to return! What a beautiful little escape on a gorgeous island and an already established resort with so much to do and so many ways to relax. Beautiful guestrooms at Sweetgrass, loads of opportunities to bring back your family with an incredible new family-friendly pool, wonderful tennis clinic options, bike rentals, fire pits, the whole 9 yards! I was so impressed with all of this service at the front desk and the great options for dining available on property so you never have to leave unless you want to. I am returning for another business event, but I’m already thinking about how I can bring my family as well!

While Wild Dunes is located at a beautiful locale and the main hotel is new and beautiful, the villas are on the older side, not updated and very average in their maintenance and cleanliness. While attending a church related conference there our group encountered a frustrated staff person who made his displeasure known to the entire group that our event had run too long. His disrespect, condescending tone and rudeness in insulting the guests and admonishing the organizer in front of the guests during a sacred religious experience was totally out of line. I will also add that we were a group of predominantly Black women and I wondered if he would have behaved the same way if we were a group of predominantly White males gathered for a religious conference. I detected animus and disrespect that exceeded what was warranted for a 30-45 minute delay in serving the food. Until this is addressed with all of the guests in attendance ( as we all witnessed it and it had a negative damper on what had been a glorious and impactful night) I cannot recommend Wild Dunes. During this time of racial reckoning, it is critical that businesses respond to the indignities of racism or implicit bias when they rear their ugly head.

Response from the Managing Director at Wild Dunes Resort: Thank you for taking time to give us this feedback of your recent visit. We do apologize that your condo was disappointing and have shared your concern with our Property Managers, who, take this time of year, to work on properties, that require any kind of updating or maintenance. We would also like to take this opportunity of sincerely apologizing for the experience you had with a team member. Please know that this is not the culture we cultivate at Wild Dunes and are truly disappointed to read of your experience. We thank you for this transparency which we take very seriously, and allows us to address this issue immediately. We do apologize for the delay in serving your food. Unfortunately, we have experienced some service challenges this year, but are currently taking steps to remedy this issue. We are truly sorry to know that your experience with us has made you consider another stay and wish you to know that we remain committed to providing excellent customer service to every guest on property. We fervently hope you will reconsider and that we will have an opportunity to welcome you back again. Yours sincerely, Robb Walker Managing Director

This home on Conch Court was nothing short of perfect. It is gorgeously appointed, and had everything we needed to make it a wonderful week in Isle of Palms with our extended family. You can see the ocean from the house, and it's easy to walk to the beach. I cannot give higher praise -- I hope we can rent this same house next year!

Overall had another great experience at the Boardwalk Inn at Wild Dunes. Hotel staff are fantastic... specifically Carol at the front desk, Richard at the door/bell/valet, and Lindsay at the bar. Thank you for making our holiday better.

We ate here for a brunch following our cousin's daughter's wedding. The food was fantastic! It was a great brunch, and was held on the rooftop deck of the resort, which offered panoramic views all around. It was a great place in a gorgeous new resort blocks from the ocean. I highly recommend eating.
