Fantastic location for birdwatching around the lake and the seashore. Highly recommend the lodge, our friendly hostess Tatyana treated us like family and helped make our stay a wonderful experience. The road from Shabla along the coast to Kaliakra was a very pleasant drive, if you have the time. We visited in May and saw lots of birds, we will...

We enjoyed the familar and very friendly accomodation with nice rooms in a beautiful environment. Pavel is an excellent ornithologist and his support on our plans of day trips and even on our further trip through Bulgaria was outstanding. Thank you Tatjana and Pavel. We can highly recommend the Branta Birding Lodge to all birders and friends of nature.

Pavel and Tatiana were great hosts, pavel took us for 2 days of birding with his 4x4 car, and shared his love for nature with us. They have a good idea of creating an association of lodges that are birding oriented. The accommodations were clean but not lush Want to come again in the winter

We spent 10 very enjoyable nights with Pavel & Tatyana at Branta Lodge, our first visit to Bulgaria. Views from the lodge over Lake Durankulak were spectacular. We have been very impressed with the quality of the birds found in the area, if not the sheer quantities of some species. With Pavel's help as a guide we managed to see...

I stayed at Branta Birding Lodge during two weeks at the end of august and beginning of september 2013, not as a bird watcher, but as somebody who wanted to escape civilisation for a short time. The weather was still fine at that time, going to the beach and swimming was possible practically every day. The lodge and the village...

It is nearly five years since I last stayed at Branta Lodge; the welcome was just as warm and the stay no less comfortable due to Tatanya's excellent cooking and Pavel's selection of wines. Indeed I count it one of the best places to stay in Bulgaria both for comfort and excellent birding".

We stayed for six nights this early April. Birding is a hobby that gives us an excuse to see the countryside and get away from big city hustle and bustle. This is the ideal place.....a beautiful view overlooking trees, farmland, marshes and Durankulak Lake with the Black Sea directly behind the lake. The area is an important migration route as...
