My family and I just returned from an absolutely amazing vacation and stay at the beautiful Inn & Club at Harbourtown. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Joe, the wonderful bellman and concierge specialist that made time to speak with us each day and ask how our stay was going and if there was anything he could do for us. Then we checked in with reception / guest services where we met Nathan, Julie and Sarah. They were all welcoming and even presented each of us with a glass of champagne. That was the perfect way to kickoff the start of our vacation. Later that evening we met up with Fran, the amazing bartender, pool attendant and so much more. We have known Fran since our first trip and this was our fourth. She was just the same as we remembered her: funny, friendly, pleasant and ever accommodating. The next morning our housekeeper, Shaneka came and cleaned our room and took special care of our daughter and her requests for extra chocolate at turn down service as well as a hand-written note with daily weather forecasts for the next day and more. Special shout out to Grady and Joe as they helped my mom and dad ( a bit older in age) enter and exit the sprinted that took us to the beach every day / on time. Once arriving at the beach we were greeted by Danielle and Nathan who had our lounge chairs reserved with an umbrella and towels laid out for us. Our room was very clean, air conditioning was wonderful - no issues. My husband and father played golf and received such care and course information from Bobby . We were so happy we met him as he is an asset to the golf club. It was nice to see both resort managers were on duty and assisting their staff wherever needed. Kuddos to Sarah and Julie as they have done an amazing job mentoring their personnel to ensure all guests are welcomed and taken care of. We cant wait to head back next year.

There are very subtle but distinct details that separate a 4 star hotel/resort from a 5 star hotel resort. This location is no doubt a FIVE STAR location. Their attention to detail is unprecedented. From the moment you drive up to the valet/doorman entrance, you are greeted by name from the gentleman up front. The check in process comes with a complimentary glass of champagne, another subtle, but distinct detail.
The conversation with the representative during check in is effortless and very organic. She (Ebony is her name) have us some great bits of information about the property and it’s amenities. She also gave us some good tips on places to visit on Hilton Head Island in general. She was great.
Our room was superb. Very classic southern charm while being very high end on the details, yet again. Hand written cards and a complimentary bottle of champagne to help celebrate our anniversary was yet another of the many subtle but distinct differences.
We ate breakfast and dinner at the Links restaurant. You MUST have breakfast there! Paige, our server, was outstanding and very easy to talk to. We had her as our server for both days we ate breakfast there. The property itself is huge! Over 5000 acres is a lot of land to peruse. We didn’t get to see it all in our two days, but everywhere we went, it mirrored the five star service and appearance of our hotel. I will for sure be playing a round of golf on our next visit, as the course is just spectacular
I highly recommend this location for any type of traveler who looks for 5 star accommodations and attention to detail.
Well done Ebony, Paige, and all do the staff whose name I can’t remember at the moment. We look forward to seeing you again.

From pulling on to the property to checking-out the service is top notch. Upon arrival was greeted by bellman Andre who assisted with luggage and making sure everything in the room was up to our standards. Check-in was provided by Ebony who was very informative and sincere. Had a drink at the bar inside the hotel where Drew was able to give recommendations on wines to try as well as some restaurants to go to during out stay. Took advantage of the complimentary shuttle service within Sea Pines where Joe and Dougie were our drivers who were knowledgeable about the area and provided information about how they ended up working at the Inn. Also during the stay bellman Grady assisted with valet service and he always timely bringing our vehicle around. During the stay also had the opportunity to interact with the GM, Julie Owens, and Front Office Manager, Sarah Barwise, which is always a plus. Shows management is engaging and concerned about how each and every guests stay is. Highly recommend staying here and can't wait to visit again.

When my now husband and I had to cancel our African safari honeymoon, we researched and agonized over finding a replacement “minimoon” destination that would be fun and relaxing, but also somewhere we’d feel safe/comfortable and confident that covid-safety procedures were actually being followed. After reading positive reviews, we ended up landing on The Inn & Club at Harbour Town at the Sea Pines Plantation and after visiting, we couldn’t recommend it more! Our stay in Sea Pines was fantastic! We felt very comfortable and safe the entire time. The inn is limiting capacity right now during COVID, and actually felt pretty empty (which was very refreshing right now!). They only allow one family on elevators at a time (though there was never actually anyone else waiting for it the same time we were waiting—there were rarely any other guests in the lobby at all now that I think about it), everyone was wearing masks (staff and guests), hand sanitizer was everywhere. Additionally, the sea pines plantation in general is very spread out, so it never really felt “crowded” anywhere. It was so nice being able to relax and not even have to worry about keeping our distance from others. We spent the week relaxing on our balcony, sitting in rocking chairs on the inn’s nice back porch, enjoying the beach, pool area, and biking around the island. Joe in the front was especially helpful. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to go there! They did seem to be limiting some of their services due to covid. It was unclear whether they were providing room service and they didn’t provide service on the beach, but that didn’t bother us. When in our room, we could easy walk to the inn lobby to grab a cocktail or when on the beach, walk to the beach bar to get food. Overall, we had a fantastic experience! Thank you Inn & Club at Harbour Town for a wonderful honeymoon!!!

The Inn at Harbour Town is in a great golfing location within the Sea Pines Resort. The rooms are impeccable with high end bedding and a beautiful bathroom. The staff is friendly and attentive. The view of the course is stunning. My main issue is how it is oversold on amenities. First, there is no dining within the hotel, there’s no place to purchase snacks, drinks or even pastries in the morning. You must walk to another destination to get anything except coffee in the morning or for a limited time, there a very small bar window in the evenings. The receptionist will leave her desk to make a cappuccino for a charge as well. There’s no service on the outside patio, pool or otherwise. The “spa” mentioned is the one in the town center, a mile away. It was not that luxurious at all. Basically a service table in a walk in closet. So insanely tiny. The 24 hr room service is non existent. I pushed the room service button. It went to the front desk to patched me in to the golf club to the next door golf club “Links restaurant.” The process is Links calls the front desk to get your order. An hour and a half later, I called to check on this and Links had forgotten to make it. I was frustrated and cancelled it. There are no snacks and drinks for purchase from the room as stated. I’m sure they would say it is Covid 19 related. There’s no cooler with water or beach service this time a year. The fitness is over a mile away. When we wanted to use the included bikes, they didn’t have enough for our party of 7. We had three rooms between us. There was no newspaper that I saw and the players library was a small yet comfortable room with a couch, a few chairs and a chess set up. I think this Inn serves a purpose, for golfers who want to play rounds non stop. It’s not an ideal set up for those looking for a real full service resort. I just chose the wrong accommodations for a family not wanting to work that hard at it. They were kind in giving me a credit that I truly appreciated, but I want to make sure potential customers understand this layout is not super family friendly as most resort style accommodations would be. I’d recommend it for the right type of clients spending the bulk of time outside of the hotel.

Our second visit to the Inn. Absolutely charming in every way. Located on the beautiful Harbour Town Golf Course and a few steps away from Harbour Town in Sea Pines. Harbour Town is on a marina; filled with shops and restaurants. The staff is excellent. You walk in to a casual but finely appointed entrance upon check in. They are always well staffed and everyone goes out of their way to help. Beautiful, separate and casual sitting areas to watch TV by the fireplace, play chess, look at the golf course or have a quick meeting or bite. Also a pretty swimming pool and hot tub. It is a lovely boutique hotel. They have an area that serves refreshments and quick bites and you are also adjacent to walk to the Links restaurant which is fabulous! Rooms are extra spacious with special touches like a upscale coffee maker, chocolates, water, small fridge of drinks and dry snacks. Bathroom is large and easy for 2 people to get ready in. Slippers and robes for the guests. Nice tub and separate shower. At the end of the day what really stands out is the service. Our first day here; a lovely lady Milekia checked us in and then last night a gentleman by the name of Drew went out of his way to ensure we had snacks and drinks while watching the football game. If you want to feel pampered but have lots to do right outside your door, this is a great choice!

The hotel offers so many amenities and transportation to get them, it makes for a lovely getaway. There is no transportation from the airports, but after you get there, someone can drive you in the vehicle or golf cart to the Beach Club, shopping, or Light House (you can walk to that one). When you arrive at the Sea Pines gate and let the guard know you will be staying at the inn, you will need to go into the visitor center to pick up your vehicle parking pass.
At the hotel, there is a swimming pool, hot tub, professional level golf course, tennis with tennis lessons, and a nice club house for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Links. It is about a 2 minute walk to the club house from the hotel or you could ask for a golf cart ride. If you are a golf fan, you need to walk to the club house to see the list of winners, photos, and the golf shop. There is a separate shop in the tennis center. I discovered IBKUL tennis shirts which provide 2 way ventilation to keep you cool, have UPF 50 protection, and are super light. I am buying more for traveling.
For tennis fans, Wimbledon champion Stan Smith runs an academy there where you can take classes with him or the other professionals.
If you are driven to or drive to the Ocean Pine Beach Club, the Coast restaurant has a delicious menu. Make reservations through the concierge/butler service/front desk or on Open Table. The Ocean Lounge had outdoor tables and two fireplace tables. We made reservations at Coast for outdoor dining and instead of being seated in the front area of Coast, we were taken upstairs to the Ocean Lounge fire table. It was the best dinner with the sound of the ocean waves, full moon, and quiet. It was a cold night, so only two tables came and went on the deck.
The room had an old fashioned plantation style feel to the room with wood furniture, a high bed, desk with two chairs, a reading chair and footstool, live plant, and even a suit stand, which I had never seen before. The Nespresso coffee and tea maker in the room was a wonderful surprise. The first cup, it would lose most of the water, so you may need to do it twice to get a cup of coffee. The bathroom was spacious with a separate shower and tub. No bath salts were provided, so you may want to bring your own. Moulton Brown bath products.
We visited in February which was in the 50 to 60 degree range, so we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. No towels were outside, but you could ask at the front desk.
The staff was so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much to ask including helping us re-arrange our dinner reservations at Coast and another restaurant. Joe who drove us to the Beach Club was warm, friendly, and made the drive there go so fast. Stellar staff!

Sea Pines is very impressive with its natural beauty and quality of the many amenities. Enjoyed using the complimentary basic bikes on the extensive network of paths. The staff is friendly and helpful. Loved that the housekeeping is scheduled during a time window to make planning easier. Room was comfortable but could use a refresh (especially carpet and bath tiling) for the price point. Disappointed with the Sea Pines Beach Club as the website indicates seasonal food and beverage service but that was not in effect during our stay in August. On one of the days, there was no attendant so we had to return to the Inn to get towels. In addition, the chairs are set up far back on the beach so there are no unobstructed views of the ocean. Also, swimming was restricted due to jellyfish (obviously nobody’s fault but beware). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

We recently returned from a first time visit to this property, and we came home thoroughly impressed. First off let me state that they took every possible precaution against the virus, and we felt comfortable the entire time. There was more than enough room for social distancing at the pool area, and drinks were still served poolside even if food was not. My greatest impression was of the personable, professional and accommodating qualities of the staff. I had a medical emergency from my day at the beach club that made it very difficult to walk for a couple of days. The entire staff went out of their way to show empathy and help me in every way possible. Whether it was to help us obtain food from outside the property or to assist me with shuttle and golf cart rides if we needed to head outside of the room. I am so very thankful to all of the staff for their assistance and kindness. We will definitely return to complete our interrupted vacation.

So I wore linen shorts with contrasting kimonos while walking around and having coffee, lunch etc and did not see many women in jeans but it was pretty hot and humid; pretty dresses out for dinner in the evenings; however in October it will be much fresher and cooler so maybe jeans or linen pants with floaty tops and a cardi or jumper to throw on if necessary. It’s a very friendly place and more casual than super smart and don’t forget your mask as it’s the law on HHI you have to wear one. Enjoy!
