The number one place for a relaxing vacation or to have an event that leaves a lasting impression.....
My Niece decided to have an engagement party at the last hour. Susana the General Manager was awesome. She always is. The event room is always clean, organized and on point. The front desk hotel family is always accommodating. Tania is an 11 on a scale of 1-10. :) In other words off the charts friendly. I can't thank Susana and her group enough. Call for your party bookings, you won't be disappointed. The room accommodations are great as well. After a long night the comfort was greatly appreciated.
Thank you for this fabulous review! We are thrilled to host your engagement party! We appreciate the compliments to our General Manager and staff and were honored to work with you! We appreciate your business and recommendation and look forward to seeing you again soon!

    Meh....
I’ll preface this by saying we are time share owners at Port Royal (got scammed into that back in 2010 by then Coral Resorts and now Palmera Vacation Club). They call once a year or so and ask if you want to come down for a 3 or 4 night stay for a really cheap rate. You have to do a “presentation” with Palmera Vacation Club in order to take advantage of the deal. Originally this particular package was at the Holiday Inn Express near Coligny. Per our typical experience with PVC, the HI was booked for the time we wanted so she offered the Palmera Inn and Suites. We know from past stays where its located and it was NOT our pleasure to take it. Given the COVID pandemic and our daughters work schedule, we didn’t want to lose out on the package, so we took it. They have branded the hotel to go along with the vacation club. They did a multi million dollar over haul since we were there a few years ago and I will say they are in much better style. We stayed in a king loft suite. There were 4 of us and it was tight. There is NO storage for luggage or clothing in the king loft area. A small bedside night stand had 3 small drawers and that’s it. One small closet and one dresser on the main floor had 3 drawers. Not sure how that works for 4 people. Our room also had an emergency door in the king loft which lead to the roof top. The unit that controlled the AC was just outside that door and it ran 24/7. Ugh. Pool area is great for families. Pool is small and shallow and hot. (90 degree days and full sun exposure) There is a hot tub. No daily housekeeping and breakfast is grab and go, all due to COVID. It’s location is not ideal. It’s a good bike ride to a beach. We drove most of the time. All in all the resort is clean. For a low cost vacation, you could do worse. Personally, we probably won’t go back.
Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts about your stay at the Palmera Inn & Suites. We are glad to hear that you take advantage of the reduced price vacations offered to you each year as a part or your timeshare ownership, and appreciate your understanding of all the precautions in place for COVID19. Thank you for the compliments on our renovations!

Everything you need in a room!
We booked a king room and were very impressed with the space and the kitchen amenities. The brown bag breakfasts were good as well as having Starbucks coffee and juice available. We could get clean towels every day. It was a short drive to the beach. Our only complaint was the noise. The doors for the rooms don't go all the way to the floor and I noticed that a lot of folks put towels at the door to block light and noise. However, that didn't help at all with noise and we were able to hear televisions, conversations, and more. The staff was incredibly friendly.
Thank you for choosing the Palmera Inn And Suites for your summer stay! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed the room and the full kitchen, as well as the breakfasts! We appreciate your business, and hope to see you back in Hilton Head again soon!

Sheldon at the front desk is very helpful and happy. He provides a great vacation experience. Diamond did a great job providing directions to the beach and recommended we go to the Sea Shack - great local option.

Very clean rooms and looks recently updated. Great breakfast with multiple hot items. I really enjoyed the dog treats at check in and the dog friendly environment. I spoke with the manager during breakfast and he remembered my name when I checked out. I would come back again.

Very disgusted with the customer service, half the time noone was at front desk and you had to sit and wait, then when someone came to the front they were just rude, not friendly at all. Elevator was out of service the whole 4 days we were there it went up but not down. Also noticed cockaroaches, it may seem clean to the appearance but it's not. Kitchen was never supplied with any paper towels or dish soap. Pool was very small and was cloudy from all the chemicals. The balconies outside are very very small, and hornets nests all over. Very dissatisfied and would never go back. Complained and nothing was ever resolved, no communication whatsoever with management. I personally would find somewhere on the beach that's nicer and has amenities, this is like a last minute stay if nothing else was available. The beds also were not comfortable.

The area was very nice. The hotel had no housekeeping. We were there for 11 days. We spilled soda in the kitchen and called the front desk to have it mopped up and no one showed up. Tried to ask the housekeeper for towels and they refused to give them, had to get them at the front desk. The 2 front desk ladies we encountered were very rude. Half the time you would go to the desk and wait because no one was there

We’ve been here 3 times this year, a total of 23 days. Always a big, bright, clean room. Great staff from Andrew, Octavio, Shay, Anita and all the other staff members. Great value and pet friendly rooms with a huge area for the pets to do their business. Pool and hot tub are well kept. Breakfast area and food are immaculately clean. We like it here better than the condo we would rent in Shipyard. Can’t wait to come back!!!

The rooms were very spacious and clean. Breakfast was decent but always crowded so we chose not to eat there. The pool was too small and didn't look too clean. Perfect for families and convenient to all attractions.

I didn't know what to expect when I booked this hotel but it really wasn't that bad. We stayed in their California Loft suites which is exactly what it means, it's a loft with stairs that go up to a king size bed and small bathroom. Kinda had a college room/small apartment in the middle of New York City feel. Which isn't bad as they utilized the space and layout well and had everything we needed such as a kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. For the price it can't be beat. It was weird that the downstairs TV was just a basic one but the TV upstairs was a smart Roku TV. Not a deal breaker but makes you scratch your head. The pool area is very subpar and the fitness center (I shouldn't even call it that) was even more subpar with 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical machine and a said functional stand with no free weights. The breakfast was good but like other reviews stated it's a mad house there in the morning and the area where breakfast is served is not set up to accommodate so many people at once. Good news is this hotel is very close to everything including Coligny beach. If you have bikes bring them as we did and rode everywhere. If not there are of course places to rent bikes. All in all we would definitely stay here again.

Very poor customer service. Didn’t explain their rules. 2 towels per room. Continental breakfast, not full hot like it’s advertised. The Loft suite was unable to keep up with the hot temps outside. 2 TVs are nice, but not at the same time. I liked having HBOMAX channels, but it was in the surcharge.
